I never played the Steam version but on my iPad I just tap and hold where I want to walk. I find when I start getting into instances where I'm fighting or need quick reactions and I'm trying to flee I keep trying to interact with objects such as trees which halts my escape and leaves me scrambling to keep running. Maybe I just need to play more and get use to it.
Don't Starve: Pocket Edition is actually gonna portable, iPhone version/update coming this Thursday: https://twitter.com/klei/status/638790346038726656
Great news! I've been playing a bit of this already on 6+ using jb +ipa trick. It already looks pretty acceptable by tweaking the UI in the settings. But this should make it even more playable. Can't wait to redownload.
Is the update coming tonight at the same time new games release or is this something that could come up before midnight?
Just wondering is there a story behind this game that can be completed or is it just a case of trying to stay alive as long as possible?
Spoiler Within the game, you have the opportunity to enter an "Adventure mode", which features a story and an ending. It's 5 chapters long and has an epilogue.
Almost certainly at the same time since it's not showing up now. Personally I can't wait, 7 hours and 44 minutes to go!
Good I know what u mean thats a long time This whole day is slow cuz I am going to be picking up a lot Of good games tonight but this is the one I'm gonna play first.
I'll probably get this but I want to hear some opinions about the interface since the text was way too small I saw when people got the ipad version to work on their iphones. Hopefully they've adjusted it really well! On another note, I do love survival and crafting games, is this game pretty easy to learn and get the hang of? Or is it confusing with too many different variations and options? Just looking at a bunch of the gameplay videos I can't tell if it'd be something that would frustrate me or be enjoyable. And I do love survival games but I'm not into minecraft building block type games. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
Is it easy.. No. It tells you nothing and you work it out (by dying lots)... Only you can tell if it would frustrate you or not. I love it, but that tells you very little
Yeah, it's a heavily inspired "JRPG" version. That came long before the Don't Starve iPad version in the Appstore.
Think this and zona project x are the only releases interesting me this week... Unless some Surprise releases come out
Lol, I just noticed that everytime when someone posts here right now, the page views number jumps up because all people storm into the thread to check if the universal update is available. Sorry, not this time.
