Thanks! Indeed there was a lot of work put into the game. While the game was in production, a lot of runners started to come out left and right. We wanted to make the game stand out so we pushed several features like the player moves, upgrades, level configurations, boss fights, etc so we ended up throwing in close to 7000 hours .
The update is taking more time than expected, but that's mostly because we're adding a HUGE list of things! Here's the most important points: - Level 5 (story with a new boss, and endless) - Adding a 3 stars rating system in story sections (find the hidden atomic gem and avoid getting hurt for a better rating) - Revamping the level 1 with a nicer tileset and more visual variety - From now on, monsters will be sliced-up when hit, sending bits flying around (very cool) - New power-up upgrades (boost the current power-ups and add new ones) - Reviewed tutorial - Perhaps we'll also had new mask/hats clothing Here's the first screenshot preview. With the previous comics image, you can probably guess the sci-fi inspiration
Perhaps 3 weeks? Due to the size of the update, we'll probably need to have a new round of beta testing, the first one since last november. So those who participated before should expect an email soon
Displaying the revamped level 1, the new masks and the new monster slashing mechanic for the huge incoming update!! The round of beta should start in a couple of days
Wow... This game has never left my 4th gen touch, and has been migrated to my 4s. Im surprised the devs still gives this much attention. That's pretty cool. And a great game will be updated even more. Lurv it.
Amazing news!! The MASSIVE update is now available!! Here's the list of main changes: - Added a whole new level (both story and endless): Tandoori Moon - Revamped the graphics of the level 1 and added much more visual diversity - Added a 3-stars rating system for the story sections (find the hidden atomic gem and don't get hurt in order to get 3 stars) - Introduced a monsters slicing mechanic when we slash them - Added revive potions to ease out the progression difficulty - Added Facebook connect functionalities (compare High scores with FB friends, post achievements, etc) - Tweaked the tutorial and its access point - Added new helmet costumes and sword colors - Added new power-up upgrades - Performed various bug fixes, tweaks and additions
Someone reported that the game crashes on iOS 1.3.1. So, if you're on iPhone 1 or ipod touch 1, you should avoid this update (we'll see if its possible to bring back old devices support and submit a fix). Please let us know if you come accross some other unexpected behavior. Because of the size of this update, a few things could have slipped through our fingers.
In the new level, we tried to change the experience a bit, and focus on special moves like double jump, dash and dive. We hope that you'll enjoy it as much as we did creating it .
Playing this on the iPhone 5 is rough because of the borders on either side of the screen, tough to hit the buttons properly. Hope i get used to it
I don't know if this work, but have you tried to move the buttons outside of the play screen using from the buttons configuration menu in extras/options? Anyway we'll update the game for iPhone 5. Its a big step introducing all sort of complications so we'll need to make a minor update first then an iPhone 5 update, so it should be coming in a few weeks.
The game now supports iPhone 5 wide screen! 1.2.8 also resolves a display issue on iPad 3 which had been introduced on 1.2.7. The game is still free!
