I think Brewster left after Somah made fun of his obsession with EDNG. I must say, Somah's comments are often cruel and unforgiving, but never the less poignant and true.
Uggh!! I miss the pre-Hodapp TA. God knows I have nothing against Hodapp and just used his name since that was the significant "change" during the time TA forums got really famous. I miss the "Golden Days" of TA ;( I miss my friends Rich, Donburns, Frand (before Zen Bound), Eeen, White Bear who gave lots of codes, the Zombie Mangle dude, when Wasted was JUST a mod, EDNG of course, and when istopmotion, brewstermax and dannyswrld were real brats ;p Now let me stay away from this for a while before I start QQing
I barely remember EDNG, but it's hard to forget the biting comments he use to leave. Wonder if he still lurks from time to time or if he quit cold turkey
Man I really feal like such a newb listening to you guys talk!! I thank that I am going to go back and read some of those old posts.
End of an Era Ah yes...the days of an era gone by.....say ohh....nine months ago. Brings to mind when TA was as experience to be on when membership was less. Members were a little closer back then and comradery was strong and also can be of interesting read in the cellar archives. No one will re-call my name but was active here some when the occasion arose and iTunes with over 215+ reviews. But yea........I see a lot of others have moved on as I seemed to have. Can't believe how so addicting it all seemed at the beginning. I'm not burnt out or anything (always be a gamer)..........just that its all just too much of a good thing and I would just be adding to the already endless supply of games I already have that I'm trying to get through. Need some time away. Need to play...........
I wish we could teleport back in time. I remember I was an a$$ and attacked everyone that posted GAME A vs GAME B thread... which games to buy etc etc etc When posting for new games wasn't a contest. When devs are really a lot more appreciative and friendly
...when Snickers were a nickel, when people still wrote letters to each other, and when younguns didn't wear their pants so sinfully low like uppity-whippersnappers...
younguns really do where their pants sinfully low these days! Don't forget when we had to walk through the snow for miles and miles...... But it was a different atmosphere and vibe at the time, that's just the way it was...
No, I get that. I was a noob at the time, but I felt it. The thing is, this is probably the 11th conversation I've heard about this. I feel like everyone should be sitting in rocking chairs, petting their cats, and talking about how George met Margaret at the State Fair.
But we are in rocking chairs, smoking our pipes on the front porch, with Margaret knitting me a sweater..... But in all seriousness, you're point is well taken.
You had me cracking up with that, haven't posted mainly because why add to threads that from what I've seen have no particular substance to them besides to increase post count. That being said I do read the reviews/opinions of Arn, Blake & Big Albie
