Is it really that good? I’m guessing to say the original deck builder and inspiring all the others if that’s the case it must be? Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,612 375 83 #6 Talbs, Feb 1, 2024 N Not sure what you had read because it always has been universal. Ive had it in beta on my phone and ipad for years (yes its been a long time in development) ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,748 985 113 #7 ste86uk, Feb 1, 2024 @Talbs maybe I clicked an iPad link or something? I just remember clicking to it fairly recently and it said it wasn’t compatible with my device so figured it was iPad. But if you say it’s always been universal what is everyone celebrating? Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,612 375 83 #8 Talbs, Feb 1, 2024 It only released to ios today, so i dont know when or what link you clicked. Everyone is celebrating because it has been in testflight invite only beta for years now. Many people who missed out on registering early for that testflight have been waiting a long time. ste86uk likes this. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,612 375 83 #11 Talbs, Feb 2, 2024 The testflight for ios had all of the expansions locked and not purchasable. They rotated along 1 or two expansions every week or two weekly. It was basically the full experience minus ease of access to expansions. Otherwise no difference except, for me personally i wanted to show gratitude and so bought the bundle ($$$ i know). For a few years i couldn't even throw them a dollar so.. I however do not want to buy the bundle twice so we can have the full experience on the go. Prevents it from being a family game for us. Mythbuster Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2008 1,260 22 38 Journalist In the middle of nowhere #15 Mythbuster, Feb 4, 2024 I bought the complete package and am very satisfied. The AI is very good and you can also adjust the way the computer plays. It is very good that all purchases also work with the same account on the Windows notebook with the Steam version. If you play with friends/family members, it's enough if only the creator of the game has the relevant expansions. This is also well done. All in all: Yes, the game is not cheap, but definitely worth the money if you are a fan of the original board game. 5 stars from me. Talbs likes this. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,612 375 83 #16 Talbs, Feb 5, 2024 Im honestly not sure. I dont know what other development of the game there is to do. That might be a reason; if you want to test latest builds. The other reason is if they will keep rotating an expansion set every week like they were, and so you dont have to buy anything. That may stop however. LordGek Well-Known Member Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Feb 19, 2009 12,282 141 63 Software QA Engineer Saratoga, CA, USA #17 LordGek, Feb 13, 2024 Yeah, I'm actually really impressed how their AI can play any randomly generated grouping of cards pretty competently in this game. I'm sure pro players know its weaknesses and can beat it at every turn, but of all of the attempts so far to port the game to digital, this is by FAR the best AI ever rendered for this game. Clearly NOT just something whipped out in 2 weeks before releasing the game but something the devs toiled at for months (if not years) fine tuning. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
