I have been following the beta feedback for Dominion on the Dominion Strategy website, and the feedback has been very negative. Some of the cards aren't available and the beta has been riddled with bugs, some minor and some very significant, including a shuffling error. I am holding out final judgment until the product is released, but I don't understand why they went with Funsockets instead of one that has a track record of excellence with iOS board/card games. For example, does anyone think that Playdek wouldn't have hit a home run with Dominion if it had been given the chance?
Thunderstone will require you to log in with a Facebook account. Some of us don't want a Facebook account.
Rio Grande Games definitely takes pride in their Dominion franchise, they went with full metal tokens for the Seaside expansion instead of plastic ones even though it costs more. I expect nothing less of them when it comes to the official iOS version.
I've been waiting for the official app for ages. Finally! This unofficial app was a great time-sink though for the basic game.
Glad I have the existing version downloaded then... because if the 'Official' version is online only then it's crippled and for my purposes, completely pointless and useless. Fingers crossed they're not THIS stupid and there's an offline 'bot' mode available too... Jamie.
If you're not up to PlayDek's and The Coding Monkey's standards, then I'm not interested. It really looks like this and Thunderstone are going to be craptastic. I'd love to be wrong.
Yeah, I played the FB TS and it is fugly. It blows my mind that hot properties like TS and Dominion would go with amateur-hour devs.
I didn't know TS was on FB! I hadn't played before, but I'd seen it in the store and was really intrigued. Tried the FB version today, and while yes, the visuals aren't quite at the level of Playdek's, it still seems to work well. It's a pretty fun game!
It NOT being out is why I came here to ask about it, it's the 16th and it hasn't released. No one knows why.
Maybe they realised that if they released it as multiplayer only it would be a bit crap?! Hope so - I'd rather wait for them to do this properly...
It's not going to happen at just midnight. If it were an auto release on 16th, it would've appeared already in the NZ store, but it hasn't, so the devs are doing it manually, I'm guessing. So anytime.
And here it is folks, the big unveiling, along with other stuff about Goko. Color me unimpressed. And any hopes of a good Race for the Galaxy app die an agonizing death.
lol It was submitted this week. You'll be lucky to see this before September. These guys are awesome.
