Well I really hope this thread doesn't get banned because of the topic it concerns, however I will risk it. The well known Jack Sparrow site ********* is in the business of Bootstrap Bill-ing (I use Pirates of the Carribean names as a substitute of the word piracy and all forms therein). I figure I can help cut down on the amount of apps that are Captain Barbosa'd by going to the evil site and going to the links that you can download the files at. I then proceed to email the webmaster of that site and let him know that he is allowing Davy Jones apps on his site. Now knowing the nature of the content he is allowing to be downloaded, he realizes that its not in the sites best legal interest to harbor such files on their website so they remove the file and it can no longer be downloaded (That is until its re-uploaded by the crew of the Black Pearl. Now I am just one person and I definitely cannot go through every single app and report it to the sites that host it, that's where i hope you all would lend a helping hand. I am asking for people to help me report these Jack Sparrow apps the the websites that host them. The more people we get the more we can do to stop the Pirates of the Carribean (or interweb )
Good idea, but It's a shame we can't just click a button that goes through every link and shuts them down. PM me the name of the site and I'll help close down a few. Although I'm not sure this is going to be very effective at stopping piracy on the grand scale of things (they always seem to have a way around it).
Besides the fact that that was the most confusing reference i've ever read (you didn't just substitute one word, you did all of them ) I don't know how much this will help. Alot of these websites are set up specifically for hosting these types of things (not talking about things like mediafire) so you can only do so much
The problems with this is that if one stops giving out pirated apps piraters (is that a word?) will just go to another site.
that theme song is epic...hahaha i cant stop laughing at it...that was the portal ending credits theme wasnt it?
What do you expect from a guy who rates an awesome game 1 star to complain about a feature it doesn't even have yet? A game he got for free, I might add. Kijib is ... special. The kind that gets to enter a particular type of olympics and ride diminutive forms of community transportation.
