I just bought this game (it's on sale $1) and I have to say that it's really cool! If only the devs could bring real online multiplayer... OMG that would be AMAZING!

Sorry for delay, guys. We've been busy working on our new game (Sea Seal and Word Bird) but we've worked on the 1951 at the same time. This is a major update and it will introduce multiplayer game modes and HD/Retina graphics amongst other fixes and improvements. Also, it will (finally) have flippable screen and option to listen to your own music. We'll concentrate fully on this update after Sea Seal and Word Bird is launched. We'll also drop the price about right now and keep it that way at least until the update!

Fantastic news! I love this game. I could only ever get up to wave 8 or so but boy is this a fun game! Retina support will make it 100 times better. I hope it comes soon.
HD/Retina as in both iPad and Retina? i've been itching to get this all this time, but only if that juicy ipad version gets stuffed in there

Wow! This is a fantastic game!! I haven't been able to put it down for 3 hours now (battery finally ran low), and am impressed in every way. Graphics are great, controls are perfect and the gameplay is excellent. Been playing with no sound so can't comment on that yet.
Excellent news! I love this game, but it's felt seriously outdated without Retina Display. Can't wait for the update. Looks like someone's making a comeback on my regular playlist..!!
