Okay, I'm getting this now! Hopefully there will be some kind of multiplayer in the future like a team deathmatch mode
I know, its surprising. They were active in the upcoming thread. PS. We should stop meeting like this.
Seeing this all written out makes me very happy I bought it. It's a pretty good leveling system if you ask me. I was a little surprised, but very excited, to have this rpg element within the game. Makes it all the better. BTW, has anyone run into any bugs or glitches? Clean for me insofar.
After I was reduced to low HP, I went to the next wave and got healed full way, but my plane was still smoking xD
Sorry about the silence, Its been quite busy these couple of days. Wow! This is a fantastic game!! I haven't been able to put it down for 3 hours now (battery finally ran low), and am impressed in every way. Graphics are great, controls are perfect and the gameplay is excellent. Been playing with no sound so can't comment on that yet. Can't seem to make it past wave 8 in wave mode though. I'm getting better with spatial awareness and shooting accuracy, but sometimes I feel like the enemy are all kamikazes they're so eager to take a crack at me. Awfully cool when they run into each other, and it looks like they can be the victim of "friendly" fire too. And the flak seems to work both ways also, with any plane near an airburst taking damage. Now if the devs could set this up like Chopper 2 with the iPhone controlling the plane on an iPad it would be gaming nirvana.
Agreed, I'm really enjoying this game. The concept is simple, but the devs put so much effort into the style and the backstory that it really makes it stand out. I was on the fence about this app because I normally don't tend to play that much of games that rely on tilt controls. However, after playing this game for a couple of hours, the tilt controls work so well, I almost forgot I was using them. Here's a copy of the review I wrote on iTunes: "I am very impressed with this game. At its core, it's a dogfighting shooter based around tilt controls, but the developers went above and beyond to make something special out of a simple concept. The sounds and graphical effects are all really well done, but what really stands out is the RPG like elements and the detailed backstory. Basically, you can choose 1 of 3 'classes' of pilot in the beginning, each with different special abilities. As you play through the game and take out enemy planes, you gain experience which you can use to purchase "perks" which are basically improved attributes for your plane (ie bullets do more damage, better armor, etc). All of this is enhanced by a cohesive art style that really suits the theme of the game. This game is really easy to pick up and play, the controls work really well, and enough is added to the simple concept to really give it that elusive "one more time" quality. Well worth the price." And that about sums it up. Even though I did manage to nab a promo code for the game (thanks once again devs!), it certainly says something that I've played this app more tonight than the other apps I bought this week.
my one major complaint is why no flip screen ???????????????????????? i do not want to play this with the headphone socket stuck into my hand !!!!! this really should be a baisc essential for all games !
Finally someone asked THE question for the iPod touch owners! & asked it too many times, probably for others
We tried the iphone version on iPad and it looked amazing, so we are definetily planning on to make iPad version also.
looks like ill have to give this one a try. your twist on the history would be a trip.. w would be a long ways away from a raptor at that rate. heh.. i like bi-planes, was lucky enough to go for a ride in one.. was very relaxing with wind in your hair.. chris.
