I've been on iOS 4 since it came out, and have updated accordingly since then. But I'm experiencing a lot of glitches still, especially with "Scrubbing" in music. I read the changelog for iOS 4.1, and I don't see anything about "other bug fixes". Is the changelog 100% the only stuff that they are adding or changing around? Or are there other bug fixes and improvements they thought were too minor to add in to the log? Bonus question: How long would it take to update my iPhone 3GS to 4.1?
i hope there are behind the scenes fixes. The music app is just messed up on iOS4, when switching from portrait to landscape and then back again, the status bar stays in landscape mode. And the album art for portrait mode, goes missing.
I really hope so. I just lost half my notes in notes.app! Was going to copy and past a list of bugs in iOS 4.0.2 and now they're gone! Is that not ironic or what! I'm so pissed other things are missing that I can't help but laugh at the situation. Eventhough I just lost a lot of important notes. I have the worst luck in the world with this iPod. And I just got it replaced. Sigh... /rant
I'm hoping that some of the 3g performance improvements carry over to the 2g iPod Touch - I've had random crashes and kernel panics with "vnode table is full" since 4.0...
The whole reason I've been wanting this update is so I can hopefully listen to Pandora without it freezing every ten minutes. It's updating now. Mine was only 300+mb
yeah i hope this fixes the issues iv been having too.. iso4 is a POS so far. lol at least on older hardware.. we did learn our lesson tho.. do not update the iso if you had older hardware.. i know i will never do such a thing again. or at least i wont be one of the first to jump on the band wagon.. chris.
I have a 2G iPod with 10 gb of games. It took 10 hours to upgrade to 4.0, how long will it take for this?
iPhone 4 with 12gb of data took me about 20-30 min. I do have one trick to quicker sync, working around iPhoto. I integrated my syncs to work with ImageCapture for photos and iTunes for everything else. iPhoto is the biggest pain in the ass and basically what hangs my system with any updates to iOS. So no more iPhoto popping up when I connect my phone - although ImageCapture does open, recognizes the iPhone as a camera, loads all current photos/movies in an easy to see list, but it works way faster and doesn't kick my ram in the nuts when open in the background.
Well when I upgrade, it stays on backup for hours. I'll try and see if I have anymore luck with this one. Wish me luck!
