My ipod does it's really quite annoying I wish i could turn the warning off or change it to something like 10%.
That's because iPods including the touch have tendency to show you what you have available under certain conditions. Many times I've seen an iPod's battery percentage go up an couple of notches & that's was while watching a movie, but it was the only thing open. I've even had them completely die and after waiting ten minutes, I could turn it back on and have 5-7 percent without charging. So it could be dropping to 20 while your using it, then you might put it in sleep and it may go up & drop back when you start using it again. I've experienced that very thing. Ever see your iPod have a red battery and after waking it from sleep it's green?
yes - when my battery first hits 20%, I turn down the brightness and turn off the internet (if it's on) and I can usually get it back up to almost 30%. If I turn of the screen and use it purely for music at that point I can get it even a little higher.
I don't think changing due to certain conditions thing is true as it happens to me everytime when I'm playing a game or something else and I know I can completely ignore it for at least three of it's multiple 20% warnings. The fact is I don't change what I'm doing and it always goes up and down. I honestly just think apple does a lousy job at software in general it's evident in their itunes programming as well.
I'm almost positive the battery meter shows the amount based on your current activity. Which is absolutely retarded.
It is true, believe it or not.....I don't care. Doesn't sound like you even care for your iPod, iTunes or apple
I like my ipod it's probably my most used gadget and I plan on replacing it with the next model I just recognise it's flaws as I have plenty of other gadgets as well. I do really dislike being tied to itunes though it's just buggy software and the battery warning is a very annoying thing. My thought is all my other gadgets battery indicators don't get it wrong only apples so it can't be very hard to get right.
I hear you loud and clear about iTunes!!!! I can't really stand it either. It's quite slow at even the simplest tasks. So I always avoid it as much as possible with data transfer and certain files. I don't think the iPod battery indicator is wrong, it just "adapts" to the current usage...funny thing is that isn't even accurate per say.
yeah, my ipod battery goes up A LOT when i play music. like, 20% to around the halfway mark sometimes. it's weird... then when i open a memory-heavy app(like a gameloft game or something), it goes back to 20%
It never happens to me. Sad...Annoying 20% battery remaining means DEAD very soon. Seems I should have shut off the apps running in the background then it might go back to green icon again.
I hate that, use to only happen after i changed some settings or removed some multitasking but now if i'm not even doing anything to change the battery power it constantly tells me it's a 20% I just wish it was in settings to turn it off.
