Does anybody get it? Truly... I doubt it but there is some hope. I recently saw Get Him to the Greek a few weeks back - full theatre. There was a joke in the movie that I found absurdly hilarious - it hit on all the right marks. It had me in stitches - and nobody else in the theatre was laughing. At all. In fact the whole theatre only chose to laugh at all the parts I found cliche or in poor taste. The part - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy-ISHyLfS4 I was laughing extremely hard especially at "Proud of every unit..." - it was dead quiet in the theatre. The last joke however "You know how many Air Jordans..." - the theatre was uproarious with laughter and it kind of killed my laughter. Don't get me wrong - Puff Daddy was funny throughout the movie, but that joke was terrible. This is just one moment in a movie theatre out of the thousands I have experienced - Tropical Thunder was another movie where I experienced this effect. Maybe it is because during my formative years I was watching stuff like Arrested Development so I am prone to awkward off-beat comedy. But I would really hope that people got it... I mean it is so much more funny. Maybe it is just where I am from
it has cuts all over it (its missing at least 30-40 seconds). Buddies expression when he vouches for his units is priceless (maybe because I have been in a situation like that)
