Well, are you sure you destroyed the silos before the tanks did? Cuz I just tried for another 4 times with all different ships, every time it works. Would you please describe the way you tried so that we may do some troubleshooting?
What's the advantage of playing Hard? So I just completed my first game on Hard (ship B/power, so not so difficult really). The frustrating thing is that my score was significantly lower than what I got for beating the game on Normal with the same configuration. It makes sense that it'd be harder to get long hit chains on higher difficulties, but I'd think they would give more points to make up for that. Do people generally do score runs on Normal? Or does Hard have more potential for points, and I just didn't play well enough to achieve that potential? (On an aside, it doesn't seem like the difference between the difficulties is all that great. All I see is a few extra bullets on screen...)
Check the previous page, I posted my best score there, all of which are achieved on EASY. I think technically you can earn more points on higher difficulty cuz there's more bullets to cancel (there's even a YouTube video showing that you can get over 5 billion only for stage1 on normal). However the difference between difficulty will only be significant in the 2nd loop, where you get (at least) 2/3 of your score from. I can 1cc open 2nd loop in normal but I'm still not good enough to keep the chain at the same time; on the other hand, I can beat the 2nd loop without any difficulty in easy, so I can focuse on scoring and eventually I got even better score. To conclude, the key for scoring is to beat the 2nd loop and get as much score as you can from it, not the difficulty
This may be a dumb question but... aside from the spread of shot and bullet cancellation, is there any advantage to using the normal shot rather than the laser? I find that I almost always (99% of the time) use laser in iphone mode, as it seems easier to switch from s to m and activate the bees with it. Still, I feel like I'm missing out on something--probably higher scoring--by not switching between the two modes more often. Just wanted to get the opinions of this forum's Cave veterans on the matter. Thanks in advance for any info.
The difference between the two primarily has to do with scoring. The standard shot is for chaining with standard enemies, whereas the laser will keep your chain counter going while you hold it on a larger enemy. But the laser doesn't fill the bar all the way (and therefore you don't really have any time after each kill to hit another enemy), so its primary use is for deflecting lasers and keeping your chain alive when you're facing boss or other large enemies.
This tip alone made a world of difference - thanks in retrospect for that. Earlier I had been either avoiding green bees or changing them to yellow before picking up. Now hyper gauge gets refilled all the more quickly.
If this is like the older games the chain pretty much made or break your score, so if you're ultimately breaking your chain more often in hard then that would explain it. And the difference between the difficulties is probably a bit fluid since there's also a rank system at play (more set tiers of difficulties) while playing the game. So it might be possible to get a higher difficulty in normal mode if you're playing really well than if you're playing poorly in hard mode for example. Other than the scoring stuff mentioned above it's kind of a leftover from joystick based gameplay. The normal shot you get by tapping, and laser when holding down the shot button. In exchange for this stronger/focused shot your ship moves slower (which itself has a strategic use since it's easier to dodge small amounts when moving slower). The touch control kinda breaks all that, along with the ship balance: type A with the narrow shot is the fastest, type C with the wide shot is the slowest. The head of the laser (and area around your ship when initially firing it) is also used for revealing bees, so that's another reason for letting go of it. That's probably be the initial OpenFeint screen...damn thing shouldn't be loaded at startup in any game.
I had this OF white screen problem with many games in the last weeks, somehow a issue in the latest OF loader!?
Updated DDPR and could finally unlock Hibachi! So if your trying to unlock him, don't forget to update the app! but does it seem to anyone else that Hibachi is the laggiest character to play? heres some screens from the second hidden loop~ The REAL bullet hell doesn't start until second loop atall..
Actually, in the Black Label version of the game, there's apparently one more after Hibachi, but the conditions are so tough, no one has ever seen him yet. 8 months after the release.
This is a complete rumour and hasn't been verified or confirmed at all. You're talking about Zatsuza, and the rumour was based entirely off an unused track from the Black Label soundtrack with the same name. It's highly unlikely there is a Zatsuza, and that it's just an unused track.
I'm aware its just only a rumor. Still, I can't imagine anything harder if he did exist. I mean Hibachi last attack already covers the entire screen. How could they possibly top that?
im sure yes, with type-c fighter starting off at the bottom of the screen to get sure not to miss something. when the first silo appears on the upper left i'll definetly destroy it before the tank comes in. after that i start shooting the other two silos beside. still doesn't work for me :-(
The "silos" I said here don't include the empty ones, dude. Take a look at the topright corner of my attachment, the difference between regular silo(タンク(大), the left one) and empty silo (the right one) are obvious. Then look at the map in the middle, you can easily tell which 3 silos are the targets to destroy.
At people's request, I've uploaded the scans of the Dodopachi Resurrection Official Guide (for arcade version), hopefully some people might find it helpful. Illustration of characters and maps of Stage 1-5(with all locations of bee items) are included. If you understand japanese, the arcade system explanation and tips for scoring are really useful. If necessary, I will translate these parts when I got some spare time. http://www.mediafire.com/?2jc5437v94pck81
Hey guys I have a question, sorry to bring it up in this forum but I can't find any active forums for Cave games, maybe I'm just slow. Anyways, I just got my copy of Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 for my 360 and I just had a couple questions, first why is there so much slowdown? I have all default screen settings and I'm playing on a 27in LCD. And my other question is how do I access Novice Ultra, every time I click on Ultra it asks me two questions and one choice kicks me back to Original and the other one throws me in Ultra but I know for sure it's not novice LOL. Thanks
