Hmmm.... I strongly suggest that you consider disabling this "online" requirement on launch. This is the type of game that many of us would play while riding in the subway or on the road where there is no Wifi (or even 3G/4G). This "patching" check is unnecessary and should be left to the player to do so using App Store. Some cynical gamers may even unfairly criticize your game as "calling home", which is obviously a bad practice.
loving the game.. but quick question. Im from The Netherlands and i downloaded the NZ version because the game isnt out yet here, but is there anyway for me to retrieve my progress i make in this game once i delete the game and download the version fom my own store ?
I will confirm with tech but I think as long as you don't uninstall first, you will probably be okay but should back up with itunes too.
I don't understand these fragments. They are listed under ranks. What do you do? When you have collected a set, what is the reward? Also, for each bottle, there are some icons that supposedly tell you the reward drop? Are these drop random?
I know that the fragments are used to increase the characters rank but for the companions you have to reach a certain level before you can do that (level 10 first up, assuming level 20 for the next). The Doctor/s can be ranked up if you have the fragments with no level requirement. I'm not entirely sure myself yet but it does appear that the drops are random. I was thinking if you perhaps got a really good combo or wiped out a wave in one strike or something you would get an item but I haven't noticed it happen in any sort of consistency. Ah! The fan area has 3 extra levels at the moment of varying difficulty. Doesn't seem like you get any special items (well I did get a time crystal from each) from doing them but i'm guessing there is more coming for that later on.
Finally able to play thanks to the online connectivity fix, thank you! I'm wondering if the 9th Doctor will be in the game as well. I'm assuming he will be. Disappointing if not!
TinyRebelGames, The mandatory requirement to connect to your server each time the game starts is truly annoying. A lot of us play such games on the road when there is no online connectivity. Many times your app would "force" close automatically after I minimized it, so that I would be unable to restart the game to continue until I could find a Wi-Fi hotspot. There is no reason for this inconvenience.

I'm loving this but I do have a question. Are the character drops in levels random? I played the level where Strax can drop well over 10 times and never got him before giving up - same has happened every level since.
Yeah, I am wondering about this, too. Every level up to Strax gave me the possible character drop. I cannot seem to get Strax or any other character after that level at all. I had purchased the spoonhead 11th doctor, so I had a full team and thought that maybe they only dropped if you had a slot open on the team. I tried playing with with less than a full team, but it didn't seem to help.
I just bought the six crystals for five bucks so I could get the fan area. Question: is all that's there the three levels? (Easy, medium, hard)
Hmm. Downloaded. I love Doctor Who. Course I am incredibly upset with thier choice of Doctors after Matt Smith. They could have found a guy more like David Tennant and Matt Smith. Going the old man route is going to sting em with the North American crowd. And it's gotten quite large here! it's bigger then top gear it seems! Oh yes, If they wanted to use an old fella they shoulda went with Hugh Laurie or Geoffry Rush (course still would rather a younger guy). That's what we wanna see now a days! Not Peter the yickster Capaldi. I may never watch another episode after MSmith is gone! On a completely relevant note it seems simple and I like match games but when is someone going to release a doctor who game that's an RPG? The story leaves the opportunity for a great game. In fact, I have an idea! Course all of its a moot point because I can hardly see the screen due to crying since I heard about the new doctor. One show! That's it that's all! I don't watch anything else. Screw you moffat! Screw you! At least have a weird snag where something goes haywire and he regenerates into the 10th doctor! A reverse regen for the first time ever. Anything but that yickster..... Sigh... Sorr...yyyy..... You have to..... See me this way....
