I haven't played too far yet, so don't know if the gameplay introduces more variety or how the free to play manifests itself, but they got the most important thing in a rhythm game right: great music. soniclife Well-Known Member Mar 9, 2009 63 3 8 Hamburg #4 soniclife, Oct 23, 2014 This is far better than I first expect it to be. You need a little bit of strategy to get high scores. The music is great and so are the artwork and the setting. The only thing I'm missing is to cancel a song and restart. Oh and there's no IAP! My name is Bryan K, and I'm the dude who made Doctor Bop. I'm glad everyone likes it so far! I've worked as an artist in the games industry for a long time, at places like Sony, Riot and others, and this is a side project that I'm doing on my own for fun and charity. To answer a couple questions: There is NO IAP in the game at all. Completely free! The most important thing is that you enjoy the game and want to share it with others. I won't add anything in that takes away from having fun. If I can figure out a way to do IAP that people actually want, I'm open to it, but so far I like the game best without it Also, I'm giving away half of everything I make to a charity called Extra Life. So basically that means that the more you play, the more you help REAL kids stuck in real hospitals! I have more songs, more features, bug fixes, etc coming for at least the next year. If you have any requests, feedback, bugs, etc., please let me know and I'll try my best to respond! Thank you everyone, and happy Boperating! I'll admit I've not played this much since my last post, but I'm definitely planning to dive back in some time soon. Bryan K New Member Oct 28, 2014 4 0 0 #8 Bryan K, Oct 28, 2014 .. Oh and good idea about the cancel song option. Can't do a pause/resume for technical reasons, but allowing you to cancel back to the menu is totally doable. I'll put it into the next update! Bryan K New Member Oct 28, 2014 4 0 0 #9 Bryan K, Mar 12, 2015 Hey guys! I just posted a huge update, with over 45 songs, new patients, hats, leaderboards, and all sorts of improvements! The whole game is free, (really) and if you're feeling generous, you can buy BopBucks in the game, and I'll donate half of whatever I get to The Extra Life children's hospotal charity! I'm just one guy, so if you like it please help spread the word! I don't need the game to tell me to take a break. If I want to play, you aren't helping. You're making me play another game. That's not what you want. If it's fun enough, people will come back. That's how it should be. If a game stops people from playing, it is a broken product. Fix it. Timers are horrible and never should have been invented. And they have come to infect another good game. Why? ...ha, pun not intended. Bring back the fun. Bryan K New Member Oct 28, 2014 4 0 0 #11 Bryan K, Apr 2, 2015 Last edited: Apr 6, 2015 Thanks for the feedback! EDIT: based on some awesome responses from you guys, I'm changing it over to a pay-once sort of game. So basically you can play a bit of the game for free, and then for 3 bucks you can get the whole game and also disable ads. It's up on android already, and will be up on iOS as soon as they approve the new version. Bryan K (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
