    San Fran or colorado?

I'm actually fine here in SF, own my house and barely make any payments on it per month, barely any debt and due to family gifts ( wifes family ) my student loans will be paid off this summer.

So technically, if I wanted to I could try to become a craftsman here in SF ( I actually own a craftsman house too! ).

sure beats sitting in a cube all day staring at a box of light.

San Fran. Grew up in San Jose. Now I'm jealous. You are in prime position. I wish you luck. The best job I ever had was one were I was my own boss. Had a job in a cubicle. Suddenly the movie "Office Space" became all too real. I began to associate my coworkers with characters in the movie.

me too! I was born at santa teresa :) I even went to santa teresa high back in the day. I love and miss san Jose, my dad was born and raised there as well and always tells me about the orange orchards that used to exist.

Yeah, I'll find something to do, I'm in a real good spot right now. If I had a little more startup money I would have quit what I'm doing now and gone 100% with my app development plans.

    Come work for me?!

The only downside of working constrution is the 0.01 women ratio! And the 0.0001 attractive women ratio :( Most women I see in construction look like men! I'm not being sexist, I would just like to work around people who smell good once in a while!

Lol, I've only ever heard of one woman who does what I do. It's really because women generally aren't interested in it. I work with other artists, though, so there are women around. Everyone around here just smells like cigarettes or coffee, though.

Haha, I'm married, I just want to do some good honest work that gives me real life satisfaction.

I've done labor before, built grain bins, worked in carpentry, finishing work, etc.. I love the hands on aspect of it compared to the brainless computer work.

I actually have several canadian friends trying to help us get up there.
