Do we need to pay for iCloud

    I want to make sure before buying the latest iPhone that I need to pay or subscribe to store in iCloud.

    No. It is completely free. Though some features that apple will be releasing are paid services.

    First 5GB are free, iTunes content (music, apps) don't count against your storage. Additional storage will be available for a price but I don't believe they've specified what that will be yet.

    If I can ask one other question about iCloud... has anyone seen any figures or estimation of how much data transfer would be used on average? Uploading everything to the cloud and having everything pushed down to multiple devices... I see this thing potentially racking up big overage fees for those with limited data caps with their ISPs.
