Its not a simple yes or no answer. It all depends on the content itself.

If a 2 dollar game is offering to double its content for a extra buck then its totally worth it and a good idea for them and you.

If a FPS game is offering to sell a Rocket Launcher through DLC only at the games release is terrible bad nickel and diming. Any DLC that is ready at games release is bad if its ready and part of the game it should be IN the game.

So its not a simple answer it depends all on what you are getting.

One thing I hate about FPS on consoles nowadays is they never come out with enough maps at launch cause their thinking is well heck we can just have DLC down the road and make a ton more money when they really need to add more at launch cause I usually get bored when theres only 6-8 maps in a game at release.

Those who abuse it will not be successful. The appstore is brutal when it comes to quality/price. Those who use it in a rational fashion will be successful. I think on a whole it will be good.

how about making this poll when we know.
I don't believe you can judge something til you have seen it in use.
Worthless poll til 3.0 is out

Don't do DLC, make a complete game and move on to the next project.
