Nothing goes to 'heaven'. Everything just decomposes and is recycled as something else. That's the way science rolls.
If you ask me, some prophet who lied about being in direct contact with God and pretended he could work magic when he couldn't (but nevertheless did preach love and forgiveness) has no authority to decide whether or not his death was for our benefit. Nice of him to try though
sounds like heaven to me, again, heaven, dying, afterlife, all subjective to the point of view of the person. One person could believe in a god while another doesn't, but maybe their beliefs are both equal with different definitions. One man's god is another man's rock.
Sheesh, I leave the forum for two minutes and suddenly everyone's going all philosophical/spiritual on me...
Dogs don't die, they just go to live on that farm where they don't let visitors in and where they have tons of rabbit to run after .
even a black void of nothingness forever and ever until the end of infinity can be heaven to someone. ahh, eternal rest, sounds so, restful
But where do the bunnies go when they get caught? Also we are neglecting the elephant in the room, can Dogs go to hell?
+1. Isn't there a joke about how if aliens were to observe the Earth without knowing anything about us, they would think dog's are the masters and humans are the pets... We feed them, pick up their shit, pamper them, give them presents and treats. They get to lay around all day being lazy and sleeping w/o a care in the world... they get up to eat and go to the bathroom and then it's back to being lazy... I'd take it in a heartbeat.
The BEST part of this ( i have 2 dogs btw ) is that we REALIZE THIS!! And yet we still treat them this way. It's damn good to be a dog. btw, my dog got his head re-wrapped today, the tips of his ears are all bloody again Poor little guy was so scared of the storms last night, he kept jumping up on the bed and trying to hide under my blanket every time some big thunder rolled in.
Yeah, I suppose dying is just like sleeping except you never wake up. I love sleeping, so dying sounds good
