There are a few different battery monitoring / charging apps out there , many of know of these apps and I am sure some of you out there might even have one of these apps .

My question is , do they work ? Do they help you get the most out of your battery , or are they simply a power usage app ?

I use Battery Magic Elite mainly for the battery/charging percent. Sometimes, Ill let it do the Topping Charge. Since I use so many different apps at different times, I can't really say if it does anything more than a normal charge.

They tell you to run your battery below 20% and do a full charge after that. And tell you it's magic. The stats are the closest thing to being real.

They don't work in my opinion. You just learn to get the max out of your device through trial and error.

Umm, I have had Accura and over the years I have had it the app actually recognized the steady decrease in battery life of my iPhone 3G. Everytime it says 1 percent my phone turns off about 20 seconds later.

The work very well in draining your battery faster than without them running in the background or whatever.

Just learn how to treat a LI-Battery right and your iTouch will live much much longer.
