Has anyone heard of this? It's a DJ-Themed rhythm game with the "Hero" monker to rope in potential buyers. Basically, you are a DJ and have to mix between two tracks at once in a "mashup"- hink "Marvin Gaye- I Heard it Through the Grapevine" vs. "Gorillaz- Feel Good Inc." You do this using a turntable controller by tapping the buttons, holding a button down and scratching the turntable, or setting the crossfader in various positions when prompted with Guitar Hero-style scrolling cues. I took a bus to Best Buy this morning just to play this game, and I must say it is very fun after you get the hang of it. The price, however is ridiculous at $120. It comes out at the end of this month. Has anyone played this?
YES!! It looks SO COOL and has Daft Punk featured in the game!! But it's like yeah $120 which is way too expensive, plus I just bought both The Beatles: Rock Band & Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days so I'm gonna hold up on buying another video game for a little while...
This game does look really sweet! I'm getting it... For sure. The Daft Punk remake of "We will rock you" by Queen is AWESOME! Hehe and if you want, there's a special addition pack for $200 that comes with a special (metal) DJ turntable, special case, and I think... 20 extra songs. I think. Come on Christmas!
I'm getting the renegade edition for Christmas. $25 pre order, $175 actually buying it. It comes with a cd featuring eminem and jay z, a special carrying case, the game itself, and the controller - ish thingy
I have beatmania on the PS2, and I could honestly say that this is just as good, but quite different. I do not consider myself a hip-hop or dance music fan by any means, but I love fresh, new rhythm games, which this one most certainly is. I will probably ask for the game as a Christmas gift as well. I will be getting the Wii version.
