HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! I'm tempted to start a new thread to just post these funny conversations, but I'm just having too much fun laughing my head off right now!! hahaha Besides, i think this one thread is fine.... not much in the way of "strategy" or help required anyhow
Received msg: "Why is there no rum in this bottle?" My reply: "<burp!> sowwie! " His reply: "Ahhg me rum!" My reply: "Damn fine stuff I tell ya. The company whose making these bottles of rum are making a mint. I've collected like 15 of em already. A little turtle told me it's the Blimp Pilots." His reply: "Who flies a blimp while drunk?!" My reply: "The Blimp Pilots. Obviously."

That doesn't have anything to do with a ToS or clear rules for banning. I paid $1 and if I offend 10 people and they happen to arbitrarily agree, the app becomes useless. it's not a monthly subscription I can stop paying, it's just a $1 brick. they need a clear ToS before banning, period, or I'll have to stop sending creatively funny (and other) messages.
Do you not remember AOL, we had to switch ISP's when I was a kid because I had three strikes and AOL decided they were legit. I think 10 offending messages is more than enough lean-way. If you can't say something nice, don't say it at all. Any service you use that allows strangers to interact with eachother has the same stipulations, businesses can't condone harrassment.
This game is a great idea. I sent out my first message, "What will they think of next?" I can't wait to see how this app is updated. So many possibilities.
Agreed, I"m hopelessly addicted to it already. I told a few guys at work about it and noticed that when I turned around, those without iphones were pricing them lol.
I just got this and already spent about 30 min. on it. This App is absolutely amazing. I think i will use this quite often now and for the low price it's a steal.
the original example was a link I liked, that I (possibly) got reported for. except I had no idea that I could get reported for it or it could be considered spam, or even if they "ban" me, because they don't tell you if they do and because there's no TOS. sending an innocent link is hardly harrasment, and what if it's a joke that someone finds offensive for some stupid reason (and I really mean a stupid one), or etc. etc. ? they MUST have clear guidelines, or it's ridiculous
Just because someone reports you doesn't mean it's a strike. The report is seen by whoever manages them on the developers team and they make the decision if it sticks. I'd say unless it was a threat, abusive, or obvious spam advertising that they'll just overlook it and move on. On a lighter note, I saw this on Twitter last night from istopmotion and I found it hilarious.
Ok I emailed the Dev and he worked with me and found a bug on the server. I reinstalled the app and that did not work. When I finally left my house and got on the edge network I found my first bottle. I have found 3 bottles now away from my wifi (comcast). Very strange. Ill test wifi at my house again when I get home. Keep your eyes open for a message for a free bag of jerky!
I just had my first bug... - the other person wrote a pretty long text - i responded with a pretty long text - the next response did not come back with the whole conversation (the two longer responses were left out...) Did that happen to anyone else?
Awesome. Wait till you taste Flavor #32 "PRD" the rosemary, thyme and horseradish really make it taste like a Prime Rib Dinner! Ive sent out 3 free bag of jerky messages today! So far I got 1 reply and she's sending me some free nutrition bars from the company she works for! I am definitely glad this is working.
