I just noticed that when you walk on water, it makes a splashing noise

 

Still absolutely ZERO bottles found on my beach.
Ive uninstalled the app.
Going to try again.
I assume the bottles are easy to see in the sand.

I've sent around 7-8 and found 5 on the beach

 

The bottles are easy to see. They are larger than the shells.

Do you have internet access? The app needs to access the server to deliver you bottles and replies.

 

Yes I am on wifi at home. I have sent 20 messages. That's enough time to collect 100+shells and still no bottles. I re downloaded the app and reinstalled. Still same result. Ill email the dev.

 

I don't know what to say. I found my first bottle within minutes.

 

They might just be having server issues, I stopped getting any messages back all of a sudden... Not sure though.

 

Have you sent any messages? I know it's an obvious question but I can't tell from your post.

To send messages goto the beach bag icon at the bottom left of screen. When you touch that you will see a pen icon. Touch that and you see empty bottles. Touch that and compose then launch your message.

 

I sent two messages out signed as TA, then realised that BrushMyNoseOff might think "hell the hell did I send one to myself???" hahaha
So now mine are "(HKip)"

Damn, must be a big big world out there!

 

One of my bottles landed in Alberta Canada...

 

booo... just got my first offensive message.... all the expletives you can think of.... why do people bother ruining it? It's obviously not that kind of game....
Anyway, hit the button to report it, so lets hope that guy is off soon.

Of course, I was hoping for the classic answer from Douglas Adams' novels, but its interesting to see what people completely outside of your own comfort zones think! You go to forums because you want to read or discuss like-minded topics. So you're bound to find someone who thinks or feels the same way about something.
With Distant Shores, there's absolutely NO relationship between you and the replier, apart from the fact that they have an iDevice and they're curious enough to pay up to install this app! It's great!
Suddenly this world feels so much bigger and more interesting!

(And now I gotta get back to work... sigh....)

Hey, so you're a fan of Douglas Adams - The Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. I love those books and the original BBC tv series. Everyone knows that the answer is 42! So long and thanks for all the fish - I've gotta get back to work too before I get caught using my iPhone on the bosses time!
