Release date for this was changed to the 6th. Oh well, gives me a day to check out Sonic before this releases.
Wtf that’s bs changing it hours before the 5th. Haven’t even seen them announce it instead just hyping it’s out soon.
@squarezero I feel like they realised it will release on Apple before anywhere else so changed the date so that doesn’t happen because everyone else would be pissed. Gameloft are a mobile dev I expect the mobile version to be the most stable out of all versions, it’s what they have the most experience in isn’t it?
So yeh immediately upon it turning midnight here I could start the sonic download, just further makes me think gameloft made a boo-boo and didn’t know that somehow? Although I don’t understand why it would matter as I imagine it’ll take someone starting from scratch as all AA players will be a long time to get to the new content anyway and not give many spoilers.
I thought oh I can download it on my NZ account it’ll probably come out on the 6th there which isn’t far away. But then figured oh yeh it’s Apple Arcade and I probably need a paid account to even start a free trial of Apple Arcade on it.
Yep, they probably just wanted to make sure it didn’t upstage the other versions launching at 11 EST last night. Played this a bit in Series X but think this will be a better fit as something to mess around with on the go.
Is there any way to change your name in-game? Defaults to GameCenter but would be nice to use a normal name.
@anthony78 yeh I guess it’s because we don’t have to pay so they don’t want us saving with people that have paid or something? Or since we don’t get the premium shop and star paths and they can’t mix it? I know what you mean about the name too, I can’t see a way to change it. I was going to ask support. Seems stupid to force you to have a GC name…who does that.
Not just you. Ir’s much smoother with a controller. Compared with something like Honkai Star Rail, the look controls are pretty jumpy.
@phred you just get your fishing rod out, press the action to cast, tap it again when there’s a bite and then simply follow the closing circle prompts pressing it each time the circle is green and you’ll catch it. @Nonstickron i thought the same at first but after a good few hours playing and playing with the sensitivity it doesn’t seem so bad at all. It’s mainly the panning around the camera while moving and doing things but I think you get use to it. I’m not sure how they would improve it honestly?
@squarezero I’ve never played it even though I seen it won best game. I’m not keen on anime art styles, it’s why I didn’t bother with Genshin too.
It’s very anime, so if that’s a dealbreaker, then the game is not for you. But it’s also one of the best turn-based RPGs I’ve played in ages.
