I noticed something interesting about the last update (v1.0.2):
    - Cloud save is now working, a bit complicated but at least it's working.
    - iOS 13 is now required, so it won't work with older devices anymore.

I took the risk and bought it, it’s definitely worth it IMO. The controls for battle are very solid and are nearly as good as the console version, though I can see how they might be annoying to newcomers. After playing for an hour, I’m definitely happy with the purchase.

My only complaint is how much it eats through battery. I’m on the 8+, and it’s draining about 5% every 15 mins (Graphics set to High, 60FPS). The weird thing is that I tried testing battery drain on Low graphics, 30FPS, and it still drained about 5% every 15 mins. How can turning all the graphics settings to the minimum not improve the battery life at all?

I picked up the game because I like the Disgaea series and I'm hoping NIS will do more mobile releases. It's probably too pricey for anyone that's not a fan of the series, but I appreciate that they put effort towards adapting it for mobile (even if it's not perfect). The auto-battle feature will be really helpful for all the post-game farming.

I have logged a ridiculous number of hours into this game by this point, and it is without a doubt a real honest-to-goodness full version of one of my all-time favorite games. My only complaint is that the cloud save is inconvenient to use, I would prefer a seamless iCloud save system, but that is a minor nit in a near-perfect version of an amazing game.

There was mention in the TA review that the home bar was always showing at the bottom of the screen and sometimes would cover some of the text.
Has the function of the home bar been changed?

Man 22.99 is still a little bit too steep of a price for this game. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to buy this if my funds are exhausted after saga scarlet grace, the last remnant and company of heroes. Just wish disgaea price droppedna little bit further

Ugh, I gave in and decided to buy the game... downloading now. I just had to go to the bank and get a second mortgage on the home first.

I actually have the game on my pc but for whatever reason I didn’t play it for more than a couple of hours when I did play it some years ago.
I just checked out the game again and the graphics looked really washed out in the pc version.

However these days I’m gaming mostly on my iPad, and watching this version of the game in YouTube with the upgraded graphics makes it look like it will be great on my big iPad Pro.

Hopefully that pesky home bar doesn’t get in the way too much. :(

Well the graphics are really, really, nice indeed. No complaints in that department.:)
And with the current (almost finished?) discount it did just scrape the game into my max price for spending on a mobile game.

The UI is a bit on the clunky side but I can live with it. I been playing with clunky interfaces in games for decades.
I am not having any trouble with the movement control at all. I think because I was expecting it to be really bad I was ready to accept its quirky behaviour a lot easier.
And while the home bar is not at the ideal setting, and the time/date/battery/wifi are showing on screen in black(even though the game uses the full screen you can hardly see them - I’ve not seen that before in any game) the white home bar is non intrusive so far.

But I think I now remember why I only played for a few hours when I played the pc version in the past.
I was never able to fully get my head around the Geo system back then.

Hopefully now, with life being far less complicated and hectic, I might have some luck this time. ;)
