The only league I know of right now is the one being run by gospvg. The first round is close to being finished I believe but the entire league may last awhile, you'd have to ask gospvg about joining up next time or maybe filling a void if someone drops out of the league in progress. Yep sorry no more slots in the current tournament. Once that is over, then I will most likely start another. Of course anyone can start their own it is just the time they need to organise it all.

To confirm there are 11 leagues & the top player from each league will go through, a 12th player will be chosen by random with the players that have finished 2nd & 3rd.
League 9 is crawling along... trooperlooper2 and I take our turns quickly then we wait 2 days for MightyMiniMan to log in, then we take our turns within an hour or two and wait another 2 days... It doesn't help that he's in dead last in all three races. (edit: no, he's barely ahead of tl2 effectively tied for distant-second in one of the races, multiple shots behind second place in the other 2) trooperlooper2 leads the flip out race and he just started the third lap. I lead the other two races about halfway through the second lap. At this point I just wish he'd realize he's out of his league and wasting our time and would just forfeit so TL and I can finish these races in an afternoon. If something doesn't change he's about to graduate from wasting the time of two people, to wasting the time of twelve.
He is a young kid of a friend & wanted to take part so I said ok, I think with school & home chores he finds it difficult to take his turn. It will happen give the kid a bit of time - appreciated
Hi all you Disc Drivin' players. I just joined this forum for the Dragonvale thread, but that's gotten fairly boring. Then I found here!!!! Me and my mate play Disc Drivin' all the time but haven't found anyone else. Anyone feel like 3 (or 4) player games, start a match with Losingfaith finalatomicbuster The other username list page I found seems a little dead as I think I've come to the party fairly late. Will the 2nd round consist of 3 rounds as well gospvg? I need to start reserving space for those races if so, I'm consistently maxed out on 20 races! Thanks.
Yes there with be 4 leagues of 3 players each with 3 races. It may take another week yet before the 1st round is finished.
It's taken 2 weeks so far and MMM hasn't even started his second lap yet on Hangtime. If he holds his current pace you're looking at another 2 weeks or so to completion.
Just a thought... Wouldn't it be nice if you could somehow set up a 'check-in' before the next round starts just to see who's hangin around and who has lost interest so others that may be itchin to play can move to the open spot? Email check in or something with a short deadline of 24 hours or something. ...just a thought.
Yeah this is nuts to have so many people waiting on one person. Schoolwork, Office work, or just a nagging wife aside, if you're to busy to slide a little puck around for about one second then don't play! c'mon how hard can life be!
Man I've been beatin that dead horse since this game came out. It's not like Disc Drivin is my LIFE or anything, I just enjoy good competiton. I have just as busy of a schedule as anyone and I promise it doesn't take me but maybe 30 seconds to retrieve my phone from my pocket, fire up the app, take as many as 3-5 turns and replace my phone into my pocket. That's why I love the game, it's so quick and easy to play as well as being a laid back game, because if you do get tied up at work or whatever you can catch up on lunch break or when you have the time. Timezone differences set aside, if you can't take "ONE" turn within 24 hours, unless of course there is something like a family emergency or something, then you have no business joining a league with 20 players or more all waiting on YOU! Then again, it's just a game, there are folks that may just forget to take their turns (little kids for example), that's cool, I have small children, I understand they get caught up in their Nintendo DS or Xbox or whatever, their not worried about a little 'ol game on their phones or iPods. Anyways, I've gone on too long (Again). Gospvg, thank you for puting this tournament on, so far it's the most successful I've been involved with, and I've learned to be a...well...little more patient, lol. Good Luck.
Frequent checking of the Disc Drivin' app (which is all that's really essential for tournament competition) and frequent checking of the Disc Drivin thread on the TouchArcade forums are not the same thing and one should not be viewed as a barometer for the other.
Actually without this thread in conjunction with the app, you're pretty assed out. There are all sorts of leagues from darts, bowling, even dodgeball and they all require communicating to one another and commitment. I applaud gospvg because this sort of stuff is tiring and can frustrating when no one communicates to him. 20 people waiting for a turn, not even a completion of a race but just a turn? That's crazy! We need to lay out a withdrawal rule next time. As a courtesy to those who are able to play on time. Like me! Add me - freak -
