Needs an overall win/loss counter Seriously, why can't we get some stat-tracking love here? I'd like to know my overall win/loss record. How about adding a forward-shooting projectile, like a missile? How about 8 player online races? With random people? And something needs to be changed about the lack of negative consequences when you get knocked off the track. All you lose is your power-up charge.
LOL I did that also a while back - screenshot on my blog. The game needs some new maps now or even better a design your own track feature
Looks fun. Can there be a half price sale? please???? or give me a promo. Im prob not buying for $2 though
Why not play the fully functioning ad supported version for free: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/disc-drivin-free/id406460485?mt=8 That would be better than begging for a sale or a promo code
Before the dev adds new courses, I'd really like for them to fix the badging and improve the live play of the game (much faster updates, and without needing to quit and relaunch the game). Well, obviously I want new courses too, but the badging and slow updating need to be addressed.
I've noticed less and less games on my list where people are completing races and not rematching because the game is getting a bit boring now. What it needs in my opinion is more structured/league/grand prix races where you race for points over a few tracks. Just playing one race after another with no overall target and no stats has gotten stale. Oh and more varied tracks please.
Still have 10 more slots for games! Don't want to play random opponents though. If you're up for a game and still haven't invited me to a game, get to it xD. Shoot "backtothis" an invite if you're looking for a few good rounds. This is the one game I check regularly that never feels like it's a chore.
Just read a tweet from the company saying they are giving stats some thoughts, that would be good. Some sort of leaderbaord style using an ELO system similar to Carcassonne please
Why does this have a separate HD version when the only difference other than hi-res resources is a reworking of the UI elements? Makes about as much sense as having a separate version for retina display.
Yes, but maybe you've heard of Universal apps? Unless you're offering a huge advantage in modes, gameplay scale or visuals there should be no separate HD/iPad version. If the devs do want to keep the iPhone app separate from the HD app they should at least make the HD version universal. The gold standard for HD version of an app is Tilt to Live HD. The iPhone version doesn't even begin to compare to the HD version. It has a larger play area, evolved modes and enhanced visuals. I have no issue putting down $3-4 more than the iPhone version for that sort of incentive, for a purely iPad only app. An app that is only possible and playable on the iPad.
Have to agree if there is no difference from the iphone/ipod touch version to the ipad then universal is the way to go but maybe it comes down to trying to recoup some money for the developing costs? Anyhow I want the developers to release some updated content
Recouping development costs is fine, but don't make me buy the app twice. Keep two versions, but one should be universal. For now I'll try this app's free ad-supported version, which of course is the iPhone version. Yay 2x /s
There are differences - the UI is optimized/redsigned for the iPad. The levels are the same, but of course they should be. Ididnt have a problem with buying both. I enjoy the game a lot.
Ugh. The last update was about three months ago, and now they are saying they are just giving some thought to adding stats? Sad to say, I think this game is going to die on the vine from lack of attention from the devs. Hope I'm wrong.
Update from Pixelocity Software - they are working on a couple of new tracks - hopefully update will be released soon.
only a couple... I would love a huge surprise update. It would bring a ton of attention to the game and in return people would buy buy buy. A lot of tracks are needed and some sort of IAP to help support the devs. I think the "personalize your disc" IAP was a good idea. Come on Devs we're ready to support this game some more.
