Never heard of that player swap happening. If it stays that way, I'd love to get some details at [email protected]. Thanks everyone for all the other feedback regarding tracks and stats and such!
jeez... most games really end up fizzing out and getting less and less interesting but im havin more and more fun add me for a game: phattestfatty i got some open.... signed up for the league too but missed season one im usually decent about getting my turns taken, except late when im sleeping and in the morning, but i get my overnight turns in pretty early.... then i check every 20 or so min haha... but for the game,i agree wit others in that the auto-resign time should be shortened.
Hi, how do I get signed up for a league? I've installed both full and free versions so I can run 40 games =D.
Bump in the Road track, near end of first lap my mate used the ramp to jump the bumpers and cross the line to begin lap 2, his jump went left, his disc performed a grind along left edge of track as it crossed the line and came back on but has not registered he crossed the line, still has him as being on his 1st lap, you guys ever seen this happen?
Or go to http://discdrivinfast.freeforums.org/ for the new league. we want to start new races faster, so we can play more.
Another vote for this one. Every time it pushes an alert, I think I have a voicemail. I finally had to turn off the sounds and now just get the silent alerts, which is not ideal.
I'm exactly the opposite. I liked Carcasonne's notification at first, but then it went off in a meeting and it was a tad embarrassing. At first I started muting my phone, but then sometime I forgot to turn sound back on. Finally I shut off notification sounds in Carcassonne, which isn't ideal either. They should offer choices in the sound. I want a simple tone, one that's unique so I know it's game X, but not "It's your turn now" or slashing swords or the like.
I think they could just use the sound effect for when a powerup is ready as the PN sound. Seems appropriate
Not sure if this has been suggested before, but to address the first-turn advantage: We can have a qualifying turn (not qualifying lap) where each player gets to make one turn on the track without the presence of other discs. After each player makes their turn, the game then starts as per normal with the order of the turns dependent on their positions in the qualifying turn. Another alternative is like playing pool: players shoot their disc head-on straight from a starting line towards a bank and the disc that bounces back and stops closest to the starting line again starts first.
I just got my new viphone on Friday and i just downloaded this game tonight. I have about 10 games going right now and i'm loving this game. Still learning but I think i'm doing pretty good. I like alot of the ideas i'm hearing on here. Especially the manual refresh button. I just keep closing and reopening the app or just tapping on all the different games till its my turn on one of them. Well if anyone is interested in schooling me(and teaching in the process) my username is dizzyjw I don't know anyone that has this game that is a friend but i would love to try like a 4 player game. That would be cool. Hit me up
You can find people to play with here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=78856 You may also want to add your DD username there
These are good ideas, but a simple one that would work OK would be to have the starting player be randomly selected. At least then you don't get an advantage by being the player that creates the game.
...with an upper boundary that is really quite low, beyond which a faster swipe results in no additional disc speed. Someone who has exceptionally fast hand speed does not have an advantage over an average-hand-speed person, because the average person's fast swipe is easily enough for the 'maximum speed' the game allows a disc to start moving.
Developers, would you please consider allowing additional settings before a match that you create? It would be nice if you could set a time limit before the race for minimum time per turn. This would eliminate the whole 8 day long waiting period before the game can end (unless you want to set it at 8 days yourself). For example, if you've created a group of four players and get half way through a race and someone goes idle for more than your set limit, they are auto-resigned from the game or the player that created the game can eject that player. Of course, there would have to be a way for letting people know ahead of time what that time limit is. Maybe in a new 'accept race' screen that pops up when someone challenges you. I don't always want to rematch someone so that I can keep some spots open but they can rematch me without accepting. Dunno how complicated this would be for you to implement, but could prove useful.
