A few days ago, I dropped my iPod touch 4G, and cracked the screen to buggery.

Since then, i've limited my self to tap games, as opposed to swipe ones, for fear of cutting my fingers on the shards of glass.

I should really get it fixed, or something else. It's not cheap tho' and the ipod is the most expensive thing I own. I'm pretty poor, like.

I'm not entirely sure of what to do, and I could do with your advice.

A poll is needed, so i've added one for your convenience

It depends on how bad the crack obscures the screen.

Screen cover is probably a good choice unless it's a really bad crack - remember on the iPod Touches that the glass/screen/etc is pretty much stickied on, and if the glass is pushing on the screen at/near the break unevenly, then you could be looking at damaging your screen as well.

Also, the liquid used to put on a nice screen protector could seep in through that break in the glass, so you may want to use one that just stickies on instead.

So... if it were me, I'd slap a screen protector on there so I could keep using it and be saving up for a new screen ASAP. (And I'd be doing the repair myself.)
