Hepari - Lanze Games modus_ataraxia Well-Known Member Jan 7, 2015 328 0 0 #3 modus_ataraxia, May 7, 2015 Hey all! I got the chance to give Digrun a test drive, and here are my impressions: Digrun is a block matching game that has an interesting and different twist to it. Instead of a typical match 3, Digrun tasks you with pushing blocks aside in order to form chain combos. This sets it apart from the majority of match games, since the block sliding forces the player to think about how the rest if the board will shift after placing a block. I like the extra dimension this adds to the genre, since games of this kind can get stale after you've played enough of them. Digrun does things differently, which is great. The game has a charming art style to go along with it. Nut, the protagonist of the game, is an adorable girl, and she fits right in with the cute, catchy music, and vibrant, cartoonish color scheme of Digrun. I would have appreciated more variation in the music, but it was never a problem for me. The gamplay itself is solid, and you're given two different play modes at launch: Time Attack and Survival. There's enough between these two modes, along with useful upgrades, powers, and whatnot that will have score chasers happy. A puzzle-type mode would be a hit, I'm sure, but we'll have to see what the developers can cook up further down the pipeline. Overall, Digrun is a fun, interesting entry into the match genre. I would encourage anyone who enjoys this type of game to check it out. dragon4ever Well-Known Member Apr 19, 2009 242 10 18 #4 dragon4ever, May 7, 2015 This is surprisingly a fun game. I haven't played a match four game like this before. A little thank you for a free code. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #6 macplash, May 9, 2015 I'm a big fan of match-3 puzzle genre, so match-4 is pretty match a no-brainer for me to try as well. Aside from slightly annoying sounds and repetitive music after a few hours of continuous gameplay I have to say this game is just awesome. It looks great and plays very smooth. There are multiple power-ups and upgrades to purchase so longevity is pretty much guaranteed. It might be a bit overwhelming in the beginning, but the moment you get used to all the special moves an their icons, you'll have a true blast with this game. As I said, I played for hours and I'm planning to continue. Unfortunatelly, I have to confirm what Quertz555 said, the leaderboards are not working. Achievements works fine, but no own high scores in the leaderboards or among friends. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be fixed in the very first update, it's a score chaser after all and without leaderboards there's no point to play, right? Anyway, until it's fixed there's a lot coins and diamonds to collect as well as upgrades and power-ups to buy, so I'm going to play more. I highly recommend this game, you won't be disappointed! The update just came out, wish I never updated because all my scores have been wiped out and my coins reset to default 200 also the is no leaderboard anymore, just a challenge section. I would have had second place in almost every section of the leaderboard if my scores had updated in GameCenter so I pretty sure I'm done with this now. I don't think I will continue playing anymore and will most likely delete it. predator8u Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2013 94 0 0 #9 predator8u, May 20, 2015 To the Dev some suggestions I enjoy your game quite a bit but it feels lacking in modes. The ability to set the time limit in time rush would be nice. Also a restart/retry button after a completed or failed attempt would be nice. Having to go back through the menu every time I want to play a round is tiresome. Keep up good work imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,228 22 38 #10 imdakine1, Jun 4, 2015 Was interested in this game but haven't seen many people discuss it... The lack of modes is concerning but it's only 99 Cent. The lack of fanboys screaming is also concerning. Why isn't there enough buzz for this game. Is it not that good? Might take the plunge later. For now it's going on my wish list imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,228 22 38 #13 imdakine1, Jun 5, 2015 I'm adding it to my wish list as well... In the text of the body of the thread it states not IAP or ads... But I guess the newest update added IAPs? Disappointed that within two weeks this game went from no IAP and ads to IAP? Although I'm tempted... I'm not one that pays for games with IAP. Either be premium or be freemium but don't be both! I'll keep thinking about this one but for now turned off completely with this going from premium to quasi premium / with IAP imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,228 22 38 #15 imdakine1, Jun 8, 2015 Disappointed to read the APP review on the Apple Store with adding the IAP making it sound like it is moving much more toward a freemium model.
