This game is super cute. My 10 month year old son was totally into it, before I took my phone away from him and said its Daddy's turn. Dogs are great and the mechanic is really fresh.
Game Impressions This is a really fun game and just the sort that's likely to be a big hit on this platform. If you even think you might want this - you want this. Only possible negative is that the tilting can get a bit annoying. Particularly as the "limits" of how far you're able to tilt aren't clearly defined which can often cause you to spend time attempting to maneuver one of the pups somewhere where it isn't possible to get to. Only IAP I've located thus far was for "unlock all levels."
Game is really good, best Chillingo game I awhile. It combines tilt with touch controls perfectly. It's kind of like WMw except u tilt to move the dogs, while digging is done like in whw. I wouldn't not get it cuz it doesn't have GC or anything like that. Its just way to good... The only problem I'm seeing is I think iylts gonna be too short(it's not like way to short but ur average like 4-5 worlds with 15 lvls each). But most games like this are and hopefully updates r coming Must own if u like puzzle/adventure games
No Retina support!!! That's crap! Game doesn't look horrible but lack of retina is noticeable. Very disappointing.
I was really surprised that not only isn't this universal, there isn't an iPad version at all. Anyone know whether that's planned? I sort of already promised this game to my kid because we're looking for a new fun casual puzzle game and this looked like fun. Didn't even consider that it might be iphone only. Which is totally my fault of course, but still, it does show that these kind of games, especially from a publisher and all, almost always are available for iPad in my experience.
Tilt based games seem to be most likely iPhone only a lot of the times. This, off the leash last week and a fair few others I've been thinking of but forget. As much as I love off the leash, it's so much better on my phone. But I still agree that a universal would be the best option, I think an HD only version might not be as easy to manage when you have to tilt and draw and tilt. Just my thoughts. This seems to be getting some lovely praise.
Game Impressions This is a very good puzzle game. Totally recommended ! The gameplay is the same as Where's My Water but the objective is different. The tilting and the screen limit to browse the environment add extra challenges. Since I cannot drag to look for the environment, I have to dig careful enough so that I'm not missing any coins, helmets, or bones. It is highly casual as there's no time limit to finish a level, but also frustrating enough at some levels. There are 27 achievements via Crystal. This game is new clever casual puzzle. Love it.
I don't know, I see the similarities with the digging aspect on Where's My Water - but I really couldn't enjoy that game too much. Diggin' Dogs on the other hand is absolutely brilliant. I mean seriously, you get dogs, treasure, creatures, pirate ghosts, special powered puppy hats, and my favorite thing in this game - lots and lots of coin fx. It's so rewarding hearing that "ding ding ding DING" sound every time you collect lol.
Lol glad I could help, the soundtrack is awesome as well. It makes me feel like I'm in some sort of Goonies puppy remix. I found a great video review for those of you still on the fence with this one.
The soundtrack or the forest levels is so familiar. I'm sure it's a movie soundtrack, but I can't quite place it. Does anyone recognize it?
