    i'm so angry, god!

i got this game for free, and now it's like somebody took a giant crap all over it.

i'm so angry about wasting my 15 seconds downloading this game and 5 minutes playing it, that I think i am going to stop downloading games in general. i can't take the hurt that this free game has done to me.

Although I could do without the ad in Paper Toss, I'm not that bent about it. In all fairness though, I think the ad should go away if you purchase Ragdoll Blaster, which I did. By purchasing Ragdoll Blaster I have complied with the purpose and intent of the ad. I held up my end of the bargain so there is no longer any need for the ad to pester me.

I agree with MidianGTX all the way. I'm not PISSED OFF!!! It's just annoying. Something to chat about, but not something that ruined my day.

Ironically, I gave Paper Toss a very glowing review, and in it, I mentioned the fact that part of my satisfaction came from the fact that there were no ads. What made the game exceptional was the fact that it was a relatively polished game, it was free AND it didn't come with ads. Take one of those attributes away, and mediocrity is back on the table.

Some people will love the game so much that they will tolerate the ads. Others will despise the ads so much, they will do without the game. I'm part of the latter group, to be honest. It's a nicely put together game, but it's really not a big deal to focus, instead, on one of the dozens of other games on my device that don't have shitty AdMob banners assaulting my senses.

For the record, I've never seen anyone complaining about a free game having ads that they downloaded WITH ads. To me, it's just mildly shady to add ads at a later time (especially with no warning in the update description).

Some people won't purchase a game that appears to have shitty graphics. I, personally, don't care for games that are covered in gross eyesores trying to get me to buy garbage that I'd never want. It's not a big scandal or anything. If the urge gets too strong, I can always buy the paid version... or, you know, actually toss a crumpled piece of paper into the trash.

The general problem with adds in free apps is twofold:

one - one can feel kind of strange being lured with free app, and then surprised by following update adding some random ads and used as a "machine to make some CPM-s"

two - not everyone has unlimited data plan, then free app is constantly trying to download some data which can cost a lot more than buying the same "no-adds" app for say $0.99 if this app is worth it in the first place

Generally downgrading (yes, adding intrusive add which trys to download any data is downgrading) even a free something is a bad marketing tactics... and a thread like this is clear proof that users don't like adding ads out of the blue...

Not true, I've played apps with ads on my iPod touch with the wifi off, so how can it download anything?

Use yer head, it ships with one default ad which can be updated should you ever play the game while online.

One word. Variety. People don't like doing the same thing, it gets "boring" after awhile. Offer something different and we are mad happy again :)

I will never buy Ragdoll Blaster as long as the new ads remain in Paper Toss.

Amazingly, they seem to have removed the airport level. And according to the pics on the app page, it still has the front-page ad. So in return for paying them money rather than using the free version, you get LESS content and it ISN'T actually ad-free. And it's the same price as World Tour, which has no ads and three times as many levels. It's like they're TRYING to hack people off.
