Looking to upgrade, but with all the GameCenter and other issues have held off. Is 9.1 a good release?

The Game Centre issue is the main one I'm aware of and that was fixed (for most people at least) by iOS 9.2

I still have the same problems as before the phone keeps on locking up and have to hard reset.
    GameCenter doesn't work at all.
I have restored my phone 11 times now, each time the problems are fixed for 2 days them it all breaks again.
I have narrowed the problem down to iCloud being the problem that effects gamecenter and not being to delete apps.
If you don't sign into iCloud after a full restore back to factory settings everything will work fine.
The only downside is you will loose all your data but I'm way past that now. I can't operate with a frozen phone so it needed to be done.

It's these sort of problems that make me not like apple so much any more.

    Have fun kids.

9.1 seems to be working well for me. The only bug I noticed in 9.0.x was that sometimes in the Messages app I'd get this weird overlay over the typing field and I couldn't see what I was typing. I had to force quit the Messages app and relaunch to be able to see what I was typing again. I haven't run into that under 9.1 so far, but it's not been that long for me yet. We shall see.

Well, I say it is a mixed bag.... It fixed some issues with game crashes for me, but it also has caused 2 apps to freeze.... And TA now crashes at least once a day for me.

Well, i think i am going to upgrade this weekend. I have read things that even the older devices (iphone 4) get better battery life and i like a number of features. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Still having the very same mother****ing problem with Game Center. Downloading the iOS 9.2 public beta right now. If the problem remains, I don't know what I'm going to do, because this whole "restart to delete apps" bullshit has pissed me off to the point where I'm seriously thinking of just giving up on iOS all over again.

Damn right, it's been pissing me off now for around a month, but a joke really for a massive company like Apple.

Well, my download failed at some point, but screw it...I wasn't really keen on installing the beta anyway. What really pisses me off is the fact that my stupid iPad (on 8.something) signs in with absolutely no problem, but here I am on my phone with a godamn badge I can't remove, white screens galore and Game Center in Settings freezing up if I merely touch it. What the hell Apple?

So it is has been a few days since I upgraded and no issues. Game Center works just fine and have not yet come across anything not working - so I will consider myself fortunate. Battery life does seem to be pretty good, although the 6 plus has always been pretty good for me.

I recented installed the iOS 9.2 beta and the Game Center problem still remains! What I don't understand is why most people who had this problem were fixed with 9.1, but not you or me? What makes us different?

Use the feedback app to report the problem to them and eventually they will ask for your backup so they can emulate the problem.

I'm sort of over it now, I mainly just play 3DS and wiiU now. Apple lost me as a consumer...well done!

What was the issue with Game Center? I'm at 9.1 and Game Center seems to be fine. I get my high score lists and all that.

Ios 9 broke game center for at least some people, and it doesnt only affect game center it affects a lot of how anything on the phone functions. Bad juju if it happened to you. Seems like with most of these issues, a small jumber get a problem, but the problems tend to be severe, so its not heartening to know the affected person is in a small group.

What makes you different? Mmm... The amount of friends you have (or had) maybe? I remember on iOS 7.1.2 I've had loads of GC issues when I had 150+ friends. Now I have around 15 friends left and I have some issues. Not many, but some.
