Honestly, I never understood why people complain about features of the game that originally never supposed to be in some games. It’s good as it is. Just because similar game was built from the scratch for mobile doesn’t mean that every other games should be like that.
Okay the other games dont have a soundtrack this banging. I have dozed off to Dicey Elementalist but this shit keeps you awake and aware man. AWAKE AND AWARE.
Played twice through the first level and at the end, both times the jester spins the wheel, it hits the skull and it’s end of game. Is that the intended design? I already feel like giving up on this - I win the level and lose the game?
I knew there was a reason I own this on Switch and Xbox. It’s awesome! And Jared thought so too in his Game of the Week article!
The first LEVEL!? No I don’t think so. Was that maybe the tutorial? No clue why it would happen twice though.
Unless I'm missing something, I think that's a pre-scripted cutscene, by successfully completing a run you'll open new scenarios for that character but you're still trapped in the gameshow.
I think it would always go to skull ending until you beat the last episode of every contestant, but you have to play at least one time with 5 contestants first to unlock the episode system, so just keep playing.
While I enjoy both this game and Dicey Elementalist, I find the different classes and opponents in Dicey Dungeons play a lot more uniquely. While far from a pro at DE, I found myself using the same basic tactics regardless of who I played as or was playing against with my class skill only making a subtle difference. I also have to admit, while not above using any of DE's "Watch an ad to cheat a bit", just having those crutches available cheapened the whole thing for me.
