Thanks! Feel free to suggest any idea or give feedback to us. Anything that makes the game more fun, we're all ears! =)
Today we did a prototyping test in which we tried two dice, neutral minions, and quests. The result was pretty good.
After the prototype testing, we added Shops, Quests, Townhouse, and Holy Fountain on the board. I think they fit quite nicely to the board. =) In shops, you can buy spell cards/minions, in Quests, you can get random quests after completely which, you get gold or even win the whole game. Townhouse is like the beginning space, and lastly on Holy Fountain, you can heal your HP once if you pay gold.
We're working on implementing the Shop which when you reach, you get greeted by this seemingly friendly looking old man (who will probably turn out to be greedy, and money grabbing once you get to know him better). You have a choice to buy, with your gold, one of the three minion/spell cards he offers, or you can just pass. So this will require some strategic thinking on how you manage your gold. Btw, these cards are just for temporary use so they're not actually Death Knight, lol
Hey guys, here's a video showing our latest development with our game Dicetiny. In this amateurish video made with Power Director, a cheap movie making tool, and also one of the most annoying tools to work with, we show you new features like two dice, the shop, the temple, and neutral minions who you can either battle or bribe. I like the look of the eternal staircase board! Definitely should use the chicken for a secret character.
Congrats with creating a interesting and unique game. I've been to Seoul with my wife who is Korean to visit her grandparents and had a blast. I'm an old school gamer who just turned 41 and I travel a a fair amount for work. I would strongly encourage considering offline mode for a few reasons. 1) those traveling on planes won't be able to play as easily and is actually a core time that you do want your clients to have access your game 2) Seoul has great wifi but in the U.S. We rely on cellular, wifi in cafes, but in and around towns and cities wifi is not free so if you are home or at a cafe you might have wifi but if your at the subway or bus wifi isn't necessarily available. 3) over the past five years I've traveled through Italy, France, Switzerland, Seeden, Finland, Denmark & Norway and while wifi is available in cafes and many restaurants it wasn't as easy as I would of expected to jump on free wifi. Scandinavia was slightly better mainly Norway as even their taxi cabs had wifi access. However being around the main cities, towns, parks and public places wifi was not accessible. 4) I live in Santa Cruz, CA outside of Silicon Valley but many startup and sitcoms are based in our small beach town and we have the yahoo, Google, Apple, Netflix bus here to take workers over the hill that has free wifi enabled company busses. Mainly only mountain view home of Google has free wifi throughout their downtown. Eventually wifi will be more available for free but today the cellular access to Internet on mobile device is very expensive in the US and throughout Europe and Scandivavia and thus wifi only could be a bit challenging.
Hi! At the moment, we're planning to have an offline single player mode. Thank you for dropping by! =)
Hi! Thank you for the detailed comment. We're planning have an offline singleplayer mode available at the moment, so hope it's good news for you. =) We were curious about the internet situation in other countries, so thank you for the insights. One question we always have is though why Hearthstone is so popular on mobile? It only has online mode available, but still so many people play it on mobile even in the us, and other countries. (Of course, it's not a good idea to compare our game to such a huge title but still kinda curious. =p) In Korea, we see many people play it on the subway, and even walking on the street. Is that the case in the US as well?
