PSF 15 will be the fifth season of PSF on iOS devices, and will bring several changes, including:
    - 2015 rosters
    - editing player names
    - stats and leaders for defensive and special teams players
    - much faster AI, including game simulations (now all in memory)
    - more as time allows, including fatigue and subs

One of the things I've been testing out was an idea from a friend of mine. We talked about it a bit, and I decided to try to throw something together to see whether there would be interest. All the screens here work, but the design still needs some work.

In this approach, you see the whole football diagram, and you tap any pulsing player on the diagram to act. Tap any man to give him the ball, maybe change his pass route or send him in motion. Tap the clock to bring up the clock management screen. Tap the Coach icon to ask for advice or have him suggest a play. Tap the QB to change the formation or play.

Of course, Casual Play will still be simpler and intuitive.

In this first image, I've tapped the Coach icon to bring up his menu:

Next, I tap the QB, where I have various options:

If I tap the TE, I can set him to stay in and block, change his pattern, etc. For flankers, you can send one in motion.

Tapping the Clock icon brings up the Clock Management menu:

On Defense, you can set your formation, your focus, blitz any LB or your Free Safety, etc.

Looks great. Can't wait to see tackle stats

Is this an upgrade or a new standalone game ?

Thanks for the question, great point! It's a new game. I work hard during the offseason to create a new version each year, and then during the Fall provide free updates to that version. This year, I've been working feverishly to create an Android version, which I'm excited about.

For iOS people, probably the main things will be the 2015 rosters, ability to edit player names, and stats for non-offensive players. I'll see what I can have in place for September, and then add some things in small updates. For example, I'd hoped to have individual linemen, but that won't make it yet.
