New area & winter watch. Hi HG vampire thanks for the reply. You are certainly very enthusiastic! I have finished most of the original content. Now I only got the explore the area, with always 3 random areas pop up. How do I get the new quest/area so I can get winter watch? I saw a video introducing the new area and characters. It showed 6 party members. Does the update allow 6 party members? Winter watch initial impression is good. At least it can do electrical and frost damage, which is more versatile than fire Mage. I'm sorry HG vampire. Unless they make fire Mage deal other kind of damages, I stay with what I say. There's a lot of enemies with fire resistance. Holy is the best damage type. By the way I love the healer, I thought its may overlap it's role with the priest. But actually the compliment each other well. Priest offensive buff, healer defensive buff. I saw the update changed some abilities. Sleeping gas has a range of 2 now, am I right? Were there other changes?
Winterwatch should be north-east on the map. Did you not get the quest dialogue at your first game startup after the update? And no, didn't see a sixth permanent slot (yet). Like in the original quest, someone joins you as sixth.
Hi nullzone, No I didn't see any new messages. I still got the message "search the area" I do get the new random events like under siege and the vault. Also new enemies and the healer. But no, no access to the new event cold death door? Any suggestions?
The Gold drop goes up very fast if you are in the higher levels. You dont have to grind a lot in the game.
I object, your honor I'm rank 30, and had to grind quite a lot to keep my folks up to speed with the enemies. Cannot remember which story stages it were, but at least twice I had to put in serious goldfarming sessions to improve my party because I could not win. On average, I get around 3k (with the gold doubler) per world event, if I remember right. I'll jot down some numbers to back my statement up with numbers. Question if it's necessary to have your party fully powered up aside: Like I wrote earlier, I estimate I need around half a million to get my 5 folks to level 5 in everything I need (unused skills like Poison Arrow I ignore) . If the new content is about as long as the original storyline, that'll take me most of the game to get there. And then there's level 6+ now...
Also, is the 450k for rank 31 really correct? That still looks insane to me. Even with 10k xp gained from a fight, I don't even see my XP bar move at the moment. And I definitely am in favor of getting a sixth permanent party slot: The Witchhunter is a character you absolutely want to take along everywhere. Same goes for the Priest. Then you need at least one tank/melee, two's even better. Templar and Barbarian for me. That's 4 slots gone, leaving only one variable slot to experiment with. With 6 slots, I wouldn't mind to e.g. bring both the Alchemist and the Firemage. Because then it doesn't matter that much if you can only use them situationally; as opposed to all the time like the Witchhunter.
The new Questline will appear automatically as soon you finished the Questline of Karlahan. You can have 6 members only if you have the 5th Groupslot and the mission gives you a temporary 6th character. The Fire Mage is one of the most powerful characters in the game also if Demons and Devils are imune vs Fire but the game has way more characters to fight against. You will love here when you go into the new missions now! We updated and boost the Firemage for example in fights against undeads! Undeads are now dying faster with Fire! But still demons and devils are imune against fire! We upgraded the radius of the sleeping gas if you upgrade it as well! A lot of abilities are more balanced now. So it is easier now for the gamers! Hope this feedback helps and yes I am enthusatic! As this game is coming from us and we want to provide a great game for our players. Its not a casual title for sure but we put a lot of resources and love in the game.
I upgraded on my iPAD the most powerful guys and I only upgrade the most important abilities. Yes I did also some "grinding" sessions only the easy missions to farm Gold and XP.
Here's some numbers for Gold gain, gathered during ~45 minutes of playing. TR is a random encounter during travelling on the worldmap. WE is a worldmap encounter at a location you travel to, e.g. "Close the Demonic Portal". If it was something noteable, I added the encounter name/type. This is important especially for the "Demonic Portals" because those give the most gold reward. The number notes the number of skulls/diffulty , 1-3. Then it's gold gained in thousands. I have the Gold doubler IAP active. WE Graveyard 3, 1.8 : World Encounter, type graveyard, 3 skulls, 1.8k TR 3, 2.3k TR Swamp 2, 1.6k WE Dem.Portal 3, 5.3k TR 1: 0.4k TR 3: 1k So roughly 45 minutes equal between 13k - 15k gold gained. Not too shabby. But considered the huge amounts you need, it could definitely be better. For a level 3 Demonic Portal, at least 15k would be more reasonable, I think.
Well I did the update. If I didnt, I wouldn't have the new character - healer. I did turn off the use cellular data. I turned on cellular data, but still the same situation. Perhaps a bug? Please don't tell me to reinstall the game.

I have a LVL30 Group in the moment and I have the second map of the new campaign. You can easily collect Gold, XP bei demonic Portals. I let it spawn creatures all the time after I killed all the devils&demons. with a Group of 5 you can always beat them down. So dont destroy the Portal let it spawn further good trick to fill up Gold and Healing
You dont finished the first Mission pack Kyho! You would have the Templar in the last Mission. You are far but not far enough. You have still a Story line to Play before going to the new Scenario! So finish the first Story line!
Hi HG vampire, Are we sure we understand each other correctly? I've finished the questline karlahan and got the Templar several weeks ago. And after that I got the questline search the area. After update I don't receive the new questline. It was at cold deaths door.. I believe
Have to say that some of my gripes about money grinding have been alleviated by now. Both experience and gold now - thanks to the new encounters mentioned below - flow in at a much better and more reasonable rate than I had just a few days go. I just bought the Healer, and it took me far less time than I expected. As I like to be overprepared, I think I'll bite the bullet and do world encounters until I have all needed skills up to level 5. By now, I think I can do it in a reasonable amount of time, so it's not too much of an annoyance anymore. Which brings me to the next point: The new encounters are really good! Don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say I had 3 new world, and several new random encounters. Great fun, and much better than the original ones overall. The Siege encounter was great as one-time experience. But it took so long to complete that I think it would be better placed as a story encounter instead. The worst ones for me are - Defend the Village(?): where you have to keep the villagers alive, the more the better. Tedious and dumb hard (as opposed to challenging hard) , mostly because of the bad villager AI. If those folks would do the sensible thing by running away and hiding behind the party, it would be okay. With them going suicidal it's just frustrating. If you don't outright script it, maybe you could give "duck & cover" a higher priority on the AI decision tree? - World Encounter "Defend the Shrine", when you start out too far away from the Shrine to reach it before the enemies - which mostly spawn near it- destroy it. I'd suggest to either make that map type(?) smaller. Or change the spawning functionality for both party and enemies: party a little closer to the shrine, enemies further away. Then it could become an interesting race against time.
sorry - it seems so. I mixed it up with the Alchemyst. Are you sure you updated it? If so the new quest line should appears in the North. What is your Level? I dont know exactly where the Problem might be. If you want you can contact [email protected] with some screenshots perhaps you have found a bug?!? Currently we dont know of any of that kind.
@HG_Vampire: How can I send you my savegame? I have a reproducable crash with a world event: It's a 2-skull event. Originally it was type "Under Siege" (the new one) . I just completed a 3-skull world event, and wanted to do the siege next. Now, everytime I try to access the 2-skull, the game crashes. Also, the type of the event changes after every crash. The location and type of the 3-skull event also changed after every crash. I can no longer reproduce this one, as I went to visit the 3-skull to see if that makes a difference, and am currently travelling to it, which apparently makes the event fixed. The 1-skull event does not seem to change, though. I also can provide you a huge bunch of .IPS crash reports. I took a quick look, and they mention a type EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) , subtype KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS exception. I tried restarting the game, and cleaning my iPad memory, both without success. What didn't do yet is a device restart and/or shutdown. But I'm pretty sure that won't help as the error indicates you are pointing to an invalid memory address.
