Don't know about Maxplosion, but Resident Evil 4 on iPhone received a lot of good updates and DLC.
Any real screenshots on iPhone 4?
im thinking of TOFFT. I live in NZ.
Edit : bought it, downloading now.
looks like capcom shited out nother game that will only sell because of it name
i think the game itself looks cool enough, the combat looks great but my only concern is the exploration. They got it from their 3D DMC java game and it looks to have the same room-based exploration In the java game, there will be rooms connected with each other in different ways depending on the level and you have to fight some enemies each room to unlock doors until you reach the last room where the level boss is and that's how each level goes.If Capcom didn't do anything to improve that this game might not be as exciting as expected
It has 10 level probably because there is no Dante..
The graphics don't look like crap to me. I am wondering why so many think it looks so ugly but praise Chaos Rings.
This thread is messed up!
Please Capcom make this compatible with ios 4.0
1.99 and only two days late?..now this is really something. 10pm tonight is going tO be amazing.
Interesting that they are specifically not supporting 1st generation devices anymore by requiring iOS 4.1. Not necessarily a bad thing since I believe their were some improvements to the OpenGL pipeline in iOS 4 that when optimized against should benefit even 2nd gen devices.
Played the first few missions, and I'd say it's worth getting.
Graphics look bland by today's standards, but not terrible. Some corny rock music in the background of fights, which actually fits well.
Combat is surprisingly really good. By default, you shoot when your far away, and when you get close it'll switch you to your sword automatically. There's also lots of combos to unlock. It doesn't do anything new really, but I think they nailed the combat system, it just feels natural. Just something special about jumping up in the air and shooting an enemy, launching him up with your sword, and then slamming him back down with the devil arm
Difficulty wise, it's really forgiving. I only died once in the boss fight, and it let me respawn instantly and continue, which takes away from your score.
For the price, I'd pick it up for sure. Doesn't capture the creepy charm of the console versions, but I'm having a ton of fun with it.
Thanks for the rational impressions. Sound exactly like I was expecting.
At 1.99 I'll buy this. Graphics look prett ok. From impressions the gameplay seems smooth, forgiving, and spot on...cool
2 Bucks for Devil May Cry!?!?!
Hurry up 8PM!
Finally got it sync-ing to the device now, will log back in in a few hours with some impressions =3
...$1.99? Totally unexpected, insta-buy on US release.
Great, iOS 4.1 only.
Cant wait to get this
Newbie question though
How come NZ always seems to be the first to get these games ? Do the app store just work on one time, so when it goes 'live' at say 8pm it'll be first eastern time like New Zealand, then europe, then america last ?
I thought it would be 8pm NZ and then the equivalent times for the other countries, eg 8am US so everyone gets them at once.
yeah its good. Combat is very good. Graphics are okay. Cutscenes are crap with text only. Worth the price overall.
