LOL, you guys are acting ridiculous. Haven't bought it while on sale for one whole week? Bad luck, I guess. Also - some of you sound like you seem to believe that you can make demands about the pricing. My goodness... One or two bucks. That's a sum you don't even think about at your favourite burger restaurant.
Reminds me of something that Reggie Fil-Aime recently said about how cheap games on the app store is affecting the consumer mentality that games shouldn't cost more than a few dollars.
I don't wanna judge over everyone. Some people just don't have or don't have much money. But you're right. Mentality gets worser day by day and people also get spoiled by sites like FAAD. I wonder how long it takes until the developers aren't accepting this anymore. Some people who are paying 30+ bucks (gladly) for PS or DS games are bitching here about 5 dollar games.
IS anyone having any problems with the game after the recent update? My game seems to be stuck on the now loading screen. edit: works now it was stuck because of the gamecenter loading.
I was having the same issue on my iPod Touch. In the end, I had to disable my WiFi in order to prevent Gamecenter from loading, and after that it worked without any difficulty. Try that?
Was randomly looking at the game center achievements, and noticed that there's one involving Nero and Dante obtaining Devil Trigger. Is that for a future update or is there awayto get it?
Dante! They sured messed this one up though. C'mon Cap, stop releasing junk like this and try to make some easy bucks on us.
I should have waited anyways the price went up to 5 bucks. People should had bought it when it was .99C or 1.99
From what I heard, you unlock Nero's devil trigger by getting the Yamato, which you unlock after beating the game with an S rank. Your clear rank determines what item you get, most of them are just items to access different areas (Anima Mercury to move those Gyro things, beat story mode with S rank 3 times). Yeah, it sucks, I know. EDIT: My mistake, Yamato doesn't give you a devil trigger, it just lets you use one DT attack, Maximum Bet. So, no DT yet.
i do not know how it did happen but since about a week ago which i played this game there is no achievement such as covered in blood. but today i checked achievement list and saw the achievement which says "beat BLOODY PALACE using nero/dante". wtf? it was not there before and game did not updated. so bloody palace is in the game which is cool. how can we unlock it ? so they added it with an update that's cool.
Decided to start and finish the game today to clear some fast memory off my iPod since I heard the campaign was pretty short. So..it's not a bad game. I got it as soon as it was out for just $1.99, which is probably a pretty a fitting price for this game. There's 10 levels total, each taking about 10 or so minutes..so the total time for gameplay would be under 2 hours. But there's 2 characters, so I guess some people would want to play the game twice. It's really not too bad. It's not what you'd like after playing the series on the PS2, but it's not as bad as some people make it seem like. The storyline is told through freeze frames and dialogue, which is fine. There's nothing too special here. The graphics element is pretty weak as many people have stated, but that's fine too. Where the game shines, of course, is the combat. You start off with a few basic moves, and gradually earn more as you get crystals by killing monsters and breaking objects. You might have to replay the game quite a few times to unlock all of the higher tier moves, so I guess this brings more replay value to the game's short campaign. Well, although the combat does shine...it's the only thing you do in the game. The 10 levels feel like complete reskins of each subsequent level. You go from room to room killing monsters to advance to the next room. There's really nothing more to it. There's a few puzzles built into some of the levels, but they aren't exactly a welcoming change.. The boss battles are also generally a snore. You fight them the same way as any enemies. Oh, another thing, dying doesn't matter in the game...so yeah, it's very forgiving. You start off right where you died. Hm, so after each level you get a rating for the time you took, your fighting style, and how many crystals you earned..blah blah, not my type of thing for an adventure game..but I guess it adds to the replay value. I tried a few levels with the second character. It's pretty much the same deal except that his fighting style is a bit different and he has some new abilities. Didn't think the game merited a full review, so I'm just posting end impressions like I do for every game I semi-enjoyed. Hm, just finished Sacred Odyssey yesterday, so I can at least say the combat was quite a deal more fun in this game hahaha. 3.5/5: all things considered besides price On to the next one. On the bright side, my backlog of paid games is getting cut down at a pretty fast pace. I'm playing through them and deleting and deleting crappy ones as fast as I can. Sadly, there's still over 200 apps on my iPod..150 being games I've never opened. On second thought, I'll post this in the review section since it's so dead :].
I deleted Devil May Cry half-way through went I got bored by it's repetative button mashing and angry that it was taking up my device space. It's seemed too short and easy but like backtothis points out some might enjoy it. Edit: I had been waiting for thread revival to post my thoughts...
I got this the day it came out... But haven't played it until a couple days ago... I got all 3 of Cave's games the same day... And then Dead Space... A couple more, it just got swept under the rug for a while... But now that I have played it, I decided to check out the thread... And wow! LOADS of different opinions! I personally haven't played ANY of the previous DMC games... I wanted to, but when they started comming out, I was about 18, and living on my own for the first time,'and the only consoles I had were my old NES, SNES and original GameBoy (both of which I still have... And still play quite a bit!). Anyway, for the $2 I threw down for it, this game is great! I'm a big hack-n-slash fan... And I'm sure that plays into me liking it... =oP But even though I haven't played previous DMC titles, I'm really really enjoying this one! I don't care that the in-between parts are just text with pix, it still plays like an action packed amine show. I'm only on mission 5... But the little puzzle aspect is nice, and I lime that you can explore if you really want to, instead of just tryin to beat the level as quick as you can... I've for Mos Speedrun and LoE for that. =oP The boss battles are great... Even though the graphics aren't TOP NOTCH, I still think they look pretty badass. I'm pretty excited about playing through with the second character after I beat it for the first time... Anywho... Just wanted to join in the thread... WOOHOO!
So I just beat it the first time and unlocked Dante... And DAMNIT he is BADASS!!!!!! I can't believe how quickly you can fly through the levels with him... And linkin together attacks is a piece of cake! This game is great! It's also made me go and buy DMC3 and 4 for the PC off of craigslist. Ive only installed 3 so far, but the controls are CRAZY hard to get use to... But once I do, I'm sure it'll kick major butt!! Definitely a game to get for your iPod! LOVE IT!!!!
