I'm an early stage investor in Seattle and have been advising a small group of local iPhone developers on app promotion & marketing. I keep hearing the same frustrations from everyone and wanted to get a more scientific answer to the questions: "what have you tried?" and "what works?"

I've put together a short (9 question) survey and am reaching out to some of the more accomplished iPhone publishers & community leaders to see if I can round up better answers. The plan is to publish all results (anonymized of course) so the whole community can benefit. I'm not looking for secret sauce, just a workable dataset of what tools are used the most and work best.
