Do we have any news regarding the update with the continuation of the game? It's almost 6 months since it released for ios (July 10, 2013).
I imagine "future content update" promises are usually empty promises on the appstore, unless the devs are fairly active on the forums. So probably best to assume we won't get any update unless told otherwise.
I wouldn't say that about square, they generally take their time to make things right. And they aren't going to waste their times looking at forums, let alone being active on them, same can be said for most large game companies. I would bet there will be at least one content pack in the future. Of course it will have a premium price.
I mean the game is unfinished for all intents and purposes. It ends with a huge cliffhanger, so at this point if they don't go back and finish it there is a huge problem.
Contrary to what some may believe, forums are not a waste of time at Square and any opinions expressed are treated with seriousness and respect. I did my best to assist the fans and players of Deus Ex: The Fall on this forum, but I was doing that in my personal capacity (and not officially). This prevents me from sharing or discussing the future plans for the game. But know this, we are with you, if you have any feedback regarding The Fall, please feel free to share - we are listening!
I wanna buy this game since it went on sale tonight, but a lot of the app store reviews talk about the game crashing all the time. Does anyone know if it runs properly on an iPad 4 with iOS 7? Thanks. Well the free version ran fine so I went ahead and bought the game, hopefully it runs just as well. Cool game.
Has The Fall been abandoned, or are they still working on the next chapter/episode/expansion of the story? Not asking about a release window, just would like to know if they are actually going to conclude the story.
I could be wrong but isn't this game a prequel of sorts to Deus Ex: Human Revolution. If so then wouldn't the cliffhanger ending be resolved in the aforementioned console game? I don't know if I would consider the game to be unfinished in that regard.
How does it run on a 5C? Is the game worth it right now for one dollar, or does it still feel too unpolished to justify even this price cut?
I like this game, well, the bad review are only for some devices,A5 devices, this devices have crash on iOS 7,due to the memory required, but on iPad 4,it run fine,I've an iPhone 5,it's only that had to be optimized for iOS 7,you say the lite version haven't problem, but cause they update the lite wersion, but they not updated the paid version, really weird..
You can't stop crashes on smartphones in general, it will happen. Remember these devices are NOT proper dedicated portable consoles. They are tasked to run the whole system; sharing RAM and other systems for other parts/functions. Devs can try and optimise as much as possible, but you won't get a fine-tuned app after many updates. Once that happens, apple will release a new iOS build and the whole process will break the app again. So you won't get a perfect app bug free ever.
The game ran perfectly fine on my iPad 2 with iOS7 until I got to the area in and around Nightshades. Now it crashes constantly. Even if I put it in airplane mode. I'm thinking it's that extra layer of sound added from the club music that is bringing the device's memory to its limit, so I'm going to try playing with the music turned down to see if that makes any difference. The game is playable, in a Baldurs Gate on iPad 1 kind of way. Save often. Like evey minute, lol.
