I cannot comment on how story will continue, sorry. It will though As for gameplay, it's less 'action-heavy' than NOVA, its an action-RPG, not just a shooter. There are missions, story, dialogues, many character upgrades and so on.
Thanks!I just wanted to know that the story will continue or not.Now I know I'm definitely gonna get this.
Is there a new game + after I beat new game +? I'm not sure if I should spend my credits or save them.
Ah, thank you very much. I think I'll save my credits. This next game is (hopefully) gonna be my non-lethal game.
same as you ive never played any Deus Ex game before but i recommend it its 1.57 GB for installing, yeah theres only chapter/episode 1 and i guess next chapters will come via IAP soon
I just beat the game (first chapter?). I hadn't played any Deus Ex games previously to this one. I never found myself feeling lost in the story. I believe the developers made an effort to make sure people who hadn't played previous games could jump right in. The controls were as good as any iOS FPS, in my opinion. With multiple control options for you to try out. The thing that stood out the most, was the variety of ways you can play the game. In at least a few scenarios in the game you can opt to hack a door, or move a heavy crate and go through a vent to sidestep enemies, Or go in guns blazing and kill them all, Or slowly disable them with hand to hand combat without alerting the others, Or headshot them with a silenced weapon before they notice you or their dead comrades. As far as IAP goes, I can't imagine needing it unless you're terrible at this kind of game. I exclusively used the default pistol (could have easily afforded better weapons). By the end of the game I had enough credits banked to have purchased almost any of the guns. Probably at least a few of the better ones.
Dang really late to the party on this one, is this like Nova 3, I like that, or is this a duck and cover type game? Looks cool though.
It's whatever you make it. Nova 3 has some more open environments. Most of this one is inside buildings and a little more of a tactical game... For me. You can play it however you want though. If you want to be Rambo, why not? Solid Snake style? Sure. Cover shooter... You guessed it, yeah. I'd say it's the most versatile FPS you can get on the AppStore.
It's not really either, though it is more a duck (why did spellcheck change that to suck?) and cover game and not like a gameloft FPS. At it's core, it's a fantastic stealth game though, and I've got at least triple what I paid back in content. I've played the game two times, and (not including story) I found more secrets then I did the first time. If you like stealth, GET THIS GAME.
Also, as I stated above, I beat the game twice and I'm still going to play the game again. That is how much I love this game. One of the best iOS games ever IMO.
how is the replay value? Heard the whole game was extremely short in length. Nevertheless i heard it had high replay value. Can someone plz explain
I finished it on a stealthy non-lethal playthrough with almost all areas explored in around 8 hours. The length feels around 1/4 to 1/3 of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I guess it's more accurate to call this an "episodic" title rather than a full game -- I don't know how many more episodes are coming for DX:TF, but I would wager at least 2 more. The replayability is due to the fact you can play it loud or stealthily, lethal or non-lethal. Take your pick. I'm playing it on New Game+ and doing a lot more shooting this time around, and I find it quite a bit harder to play like this. So there's certainly challenges to be had. There's also quite a few different weapons that you can buy and upgrade.
Has anyone read the book? I started playing The Fall and decided to stop and read Icarus Effect before continuing. Just finished it and glad I did it before playing this game. Definitely a good read, especially for those who are DX fans and specifically those who have played HR. I've played and enjoyed all DX title multiple times so I'm glad I read the book, it just adds to the world of the games. There's also a comic that came out before or along the release of HR that I recommend. Can't remember the title. Now back to The Fall!
Can anyone help me out with this one? Do i upgrade the augs...? So confused. Any help would be appreciated!
