I couldn't get into it at all. Not because I don't like it but I'm having the same problem I have with every other FPS on the App Store. I need real controls so I deleted and will give it another shot as soon as apple brings controller support.

Wow! I effining love you, SE+NF+EM! Thanks for the quick update. Anyone else having issues downloading it? I have 1.5 gigs and I still can't get it. Edit: I just needed 2 gigs. I just hope this doesn't delete my progresses!

Hi all! I must be an idiot at this game. I'm fairly early on and feel stuck. Is there a basic strategy guide? There are over 500 posts, so sorry if strategy has been discussed and I missed it. I'm enjoying the game generally - tasks, controls, gammeplay, but being stuck sucks. I have two side missions that lead me to drug dens and I'm just outgunned badly. I try being stealthy and taking out guys one at a time, but there are many and close together so red alarm goes off and it is soon over. I'm probably not upgrading or doing things to dark money properly either. I don't have credits to upgrade really.

    Any/all help appreciated.

    Update is out.
    Looks pretty extensive.

    Enemy AI improved.
Weapon accuracy and damage on combat rifle improved.
Shotgun accuracy for mid range improved.
    Credit rewards increased.
    Xp for objectives increased.
    And some weapons reduced cost.
    Jailbreak restriction removed.

    That's fairly extensive improvements.

You can completely bypass them by using vents. It might help to get the invisibility upgrade. Also, try using the stun gun and tranq xbow, they're silent and are one hit takedowns.

Keep in mind, a lot of times you can avoid enemies all together. I would say stealth isn't useful until you unlock the energy recharge/extra rechargeable energy cell, plus all the upgrades that make it last longer. For early game, you're better off just using stealth dash, as long as you have an unobstructed path to where you want to go you can get there quickly and silently. Though I will say you can use a combination of hacking and the move heavy objects aug to get behind pretty much every enemy on any map and flank them. If you're ever outgunned, retreat the the nearest vent and wait for them to lose interest. You can even throw down some mines behind you to keep them from following.

I'd say that if you find yourself in a bad spot, explore!
There's lots of money and items to be found in the game, many of these are in the hub areas that are safe to explore although you'll need hacking/moving objects. You can also blow doors (look out for police though!) and look for passcodes hidden in the pocket secretaries. This way you can get better weapons/augs before going to the drug den.

Last important bit, if you want to go guns blazin' be prepared! Drink beers and eat painkillers (you can buy them or find them in the world) to get your health above 100. Place mines, use grenades, aim for headshots and do takedowns when surrounded.
Watch out for enemies wielding shotguns, these are priority.

I'm confident you can make it! Fingers crossed.

I updated and launched, and it crashed five seconds into gameplay.

    COME ON.

Is it just me or is the crossbow UTTERLY useless in the
    Belltower base
? It just seems to alert them that I'm there. I tried headshoting them, same thing. Is it their armer? I just wish Id bought the crossbow before I went in so I could get some use out of it (it does look awesome though).

God I hate massive games that don't have iCloud support. I want to update but having to clear another 1.6 gigs to do it without losing progress sucks.

One of two things needs to happen:
    1. Apple gets with the program and allow incremental updates (patches) that don't require you to download the whole damn game again

    OR

    2. Games with massive sizes need to have mandatory iCloud support

That said with the post above mentioning a crash after update, I'm waiting on this one.

Single crossbow headshot should take a guard out.
A tyrant crossbow has massive damage too and kills belltower spec ops with 2 body shots.
Upgrading the normal crossbow is also a good thing, damage rises massively.
And yes, tranq upgrade will let you down people with 1 shot.

    What are you playing on?
iPad 2 update is 'coming soon', it may help you out (no matter what you play on). Did you clear memory by closing apps? Are you jailbroken? (jailbreak can cause you to lose memory to things that aren't accounted for and therefore make you crash).
