I'm also playing the game stealth and mainly using non leathal take downs and the stun gun so I've not had issues with shooting as much...

Having a hell of a lot of fun. Did notice the non critical NPC having lower quality models but hey, cant reslly complain given the entire package and the price compared to full blown console games.

The points about the AI are fair. But he is overlooking a few main issues:

    1) Deus Ex games aren't about going in guns blazing. Even on console, this approach will lead to more deaths than anything else in the game. The game will also indirectly push you towards a stealthy nonlethal approach (case in point, you get 10 XP pts for killing an enemy with gun. You get 20 pts for stunning/ tranquilizing an enemy. I'm pretty sure you get more XP for takedowns on unaware enemies as well, though it not sure.)

    2) It shouldn't be directly compared with a console game. While current gen iOS devices are certainly worlds above previous versions, they are still not ready to compete with ps3 and Xbox 360.

That said, I see where he's coming from with the IAP comments, but don't think they're justified. I played through the game with stealth, using only the stun gun and non-lethal takedowns. I got through pretty much every area without even knowing about the IAPs. I have yet to have any issues with the crossbow tranqs as well. Also the enemy AI definitely has some bugs, but isn't all bad. On my second playthrough it's given me some challenges, as I've tried to go weapons loud and ended up flanked.

I really didn't think they did so badly compared to HR, I was expecting worse. Apart from the dodgy voice acting on the main character (supporting aren't so bad) and his design, it's a pretty good effort and have been impressed.

Have any of you guys managed to find all the ID cards that unlock the turntable collectibles? I've almost completed my second playthrough and I feel that I've been quite thorough with my exploration, but I'm still missing 6 of the character unlocks.

When I was playing deus ex, the game blocked sometimes and already experienced a full block of my ipad because deus ex. Did someone already experience this too?

2/5? Sounds like the reviewer was just terrible at the game. To be fair I did purchase the 50% extra XP and $ about halfway throguh my first Playthrough, but considering that there will be more episodes released I consider it to be worth it. I also wanted to support the Devs.
BTW, I already asked this, but what do you have to do to get the achievments Hard Times, Boy Scout, Spilling the Beans, and Piss of Barrett, and what are all the side quests in Panama? I know the first four achievments are dialogue related, and I've already spoken to everybody in Panama.

Hey! I'm glad you liked the game!
As for Hard Times, I'll give you a hint... 2 words:
    Beer
    Trash

As for side quests, here are ones you can miss out easily:
Speak with Doc Alvarez about a JOB after initial conversation.
Speak with Camila Cardoso in LIMB after completing the story mission that she gives you

I'm confused. Do you mean finding a beer in a trash can, or searching a trash can after having a beer, or something else?
Thanks for the help with the side quests, I definitely missed those.

    I meant
find a beer in a trash can and drink it... Tough times mate! :)

    As for side missions,
one of them has tragic consequence if you ignore it/lie about doing it

    Pissing off barret:
spare kontarsky & talk to barret on jetliner, try to piss him off

    Spilling the beans:
There is a mission from police investigator near Limb, you can finish the mission in 2 ways, one ending will result in this achievement

Thank you very much for the help. Now the only other achievement is Boy Scout. I suspect it has something to do with helping people or something like that.
On a sides note, if you finish NG+ then you are able to go through the game again, kind of like NG++.

Excellent game. One of the best iOS gaming experiences to date. Agree with everyone that it ends too quickly, but only because I couldn't put it down.

On that note, have we heard anything yet about future content releases? I know the game just came out last week, but I'm debating if I should leave it on my device for potential updates.

DAMN that was quite short
But I totally love deus ex so played it for a good couple of hours.
I wonder how they will go on with the series!
Hopefully it's through IAP so you can just continue with your own character rather than having to start over.

It does look like they plan to carry on with the story via IAP, by the "More Content" button on the main menu screen. Hopefully the game will continue where it left off with your character and equipment intact.

So... how is the stealth? Screw first-person shooting, I wanna first-person sneak. The review didn't mention it at all and neither did the front page comments. If this is DE-turned-Nova then I can understand why some people are disappointed. The reason I loved HR was the way it took over stealth in a way that Metal Gear has been sorely missing lately. Opinions? Can you finish The Fall without being spotted?

Stealth is very much in there! You can finish The Fall without being spotted. In fact there's an achievement if you finish it without killing anyone (so either disable enemies or sneak past them). There's lots of comments about how much more fun it's in stealth vs shooting but I won't go into personal perferences. I enjoy blasting people away with burst-upgraded Panamian Police Shotgun, or throw grenades & get some AOE damage with a Plasma. It's your choice!

The stealth is great in this, which is why I wasn't sure why people were making such a big deal about the shooting controls.

    Deus Ex soundtrack is amazing.
Just the feel when you enter that nightclub, all those animated orange arrows on wall, techno music and you walking slowly and perform a matrix-like takedown on bouncer while other pulls out gun and gets dart in head , or just take them out both at same time with upgraded augs.
It's really an accomplishment to give player so much freedom of moving around (ofc with loading screens included with every part of city ), still I did fear it won't be open as PC counterpart, rather than a linear game with virtual borders all around scripted paths.Happy to say it's not that case and more than satisfied with Deus Ex fix I got on iOS after playing HR on PC :)

I found that you can use stealth for most situations. If you plan to, be careful how you spend your points to upgrade. Not having the right upgrades (hacking, persuasion, moving heavy objects, etc) you might be forced into a fire fight.
That said, I haven't found the shooting to be terrible. I'd suggest you either use the tap to move or turn it off entirely. I started the game with it on double tap. Found in some of the action scenes I'd accidentally double tap and end up dying. Much better with it off.

I use double tap to get into cover because its much more intuitive and responsive than the cover button. Double tap worked better for me because if it was single I'd end up just moving to random places all the time. So I use double tap to enter cover, and swipe the side of the screen for explorations and things like that.

I'm pretty sure there's always a side route that allows you to flank every enemy you find. Like you said, as long as you have the right augs. My first playthrough I was able to flank and take every enemy out one by one pretty much by just doing that. Even in XNG, as long as you can hack the robots, you'll be fine.
