A bit off topic, is HR worth it? I'm thinking about grabing it, especially after the great experience I had with The Fall (except for the occasional crash) and with the Steam summer sell I can get the while Deus Ex collection for 20$.
imo totally worth it and if you like this one you should like even more human revolution since is mostly like The Fall but in a bigger scale, just make sure to get the dlc the missing link as well since is part of the plot just a heads up if you like to play in a stealth mode always make sure to get a few weapons with you because in the boss fights the only way to kill them is face to face and that was something that most people didn't like, the missing link on the other hand fixed this problem right now i'm actually redownloading human revolution to give it another play
Thanks, goin to grab it tomorrow (scratch that today >.>) after work then, I'll have something to play until Payday 2.
good choice since you are getting the collection which include the first two as well i think you may want to give it a check to the "new vision mod" and "HDTP project" the first one improve most textures in the game and the second to improve some textures of the main characters, some weapons and stuff like that but is still on beta I haven't play the second one but most people say its crap or turd
Alright, will do, I'll still give the 2nd one a chance, maybe there can be a small amount of fun in it, otherwise thanks for the advices.
Argh. I always wanted to play the Deus Ex series, but I couldn't for an endless number of reasons. 1) When the first launched, I could barely play Quake or... Crap, what was the other FPS game that was PVP? I played with friends at work, and we would have Quake 3 LAN parties regularly . But anyway, my home computer was a steaming turd of garbage. 2) Still had the same crappy computer, had lost my job and was working to start my own business and gaming consisted of old NES/SNES games, I had skipped that generation. 3) by this point, 2 other games existed on the series, and I used that (along with a pile of backlogged console games that could sink the titanic) and decided to pass. So now comes this. I still haven't played HR and am so backlogged in both because I spend all my damn time posting here instead of playing my freaking games!!
Is anybody else who's using a shotgun experiencing this? A fraction of a second lag everytime you shoot with a shotgun. Device: iPad 3 latest OS ver, non-jb.
I'm playing this on a iPad4 and it plays great. I've had to use xcon because of the jailbreak but whatever. Now onto some questions:- 1) what is New Game+ and what carries over? 2) Can i get through certain parts of the game wiethout paying the intrance fee? ( minor spoilers ) i) Th e doctor asking 500 ii) paying 1000 to get into nightshade I've justgotten to the part where get into LIMB and Ben goes off asking for nupoz like he's actually got money to buy them...
1) New Game+ is starting over with tougher enemies and all your stuff carried over. (augmentations, weapon upgrades, etc) 2) I'm not sure about the doctor - I just paid him, but you can get into the nightclub in other ways, and there is also a story mission later in the game that can earn you the Nightshade entrance card.
I believe the other you are referring to is Unreal Tournament! I used to mod and level design for that game back in the day as well as Quake! UT was my drug though! As for posting more than playing... Regrettably it is somewhat a disease of us gamers sometimes, we get so caught up talking about the games we love that we don't spend enough time p,saying them and missing out on conversations about them! It is a vicious cycle!
(So I bought the game, thank you xcon for making my purchase playable.) In the GDC interview the devs said the full game would be 10 hours released in multiple episodes, so I assume the next dlc expansion will be the second half of the game. Excellent. It's beautiful, great music+ atmosphere but honestly, more than a little bit easy. I kind of wish they'd kept the shops separate because all I have to do is walk into an area and buy a shittonne of grenades, game over for the enemies. I think I've died a handful of times so far and I'm at the helipad, which AFAIK must be really near the end of the game. I think on the NG+ I'll attempt to play it without making a single kill, that seems to be the real 'challenge' in the game, though it's still too easy when shops are available at all times. Still though I salute the developers for attempting to bring a true 'console' experience to iOS. It's amazing how much they crammed into an 800mb download. And the ways they emulate complex lighting effects on the iPad and work with textures to save space is brilliant. I'll happily buy the DLC as long as they don't find a new way to lock out 'jailbreak' customers.
