Btw this game has mike laidlaw's stamp of approval..I was even surprised that he's a regular visitor of TA..I wonder though, does he have forum account??
Ah, of course. Forgot about that. Thanks. Much appreciated. That puts an end to all the earlier conspiracy theories anyway. I wonder if they'll address it or sit it out until iOS 7. iPad 2 users would be a pretty big group to miss out on.
I see what your saying but if we took your method then we would still have A4 chips in our devices. I think it'll eventually get to a point where these devices will be so powerful that there will be no such thing as it can't handle a game. I give it 3 to 4 years where we will have Xbox power in our mobile devices.
Only real complaint I have is that combat isn't as satisfying as it should be. Enemy animations/AI are nothing short of laughable, and the blood effects are pretty lame as well. Shooting doesn't seem to have any "oomph" to it; enemies don't look like they're being shot or killed or blown to bits. It feels rushed in that department. The exploration, RPG/dialogue system, weapon upgrade system (except the store. I hate having ingame stores from a pause menu. Completely dumbs down the experience), graphics, (most) of the controls are all great. Story feels a bit convoluted, but in a good way. It isn't laughable like most mobile games'.
It's OK I guess, but I can't forgive the clunky animation and terrible voice-acting. Those aren't a symptom of the hardware at all. No matter what mobile platform you're playing on - you've gotta make certain concessions, but allowing laziness isn't really one of them.
Personally, I think Spiral could have used just a little more time in the oven. There are a lot of aspects that needed polishing, like the general movement and camera angles. The combat system is innovative though, and there are definitely many positives, but I just don't feel its on the same level as R2 and Deus Ex. This game is amazing though.
Perhaps this has been asked, but how come this game supports the iPad Mini but not the iPad2? Is there some hardware enhancement I'm unaware of?
I got it the instant TA announced it was out. I beat the game, and I'm extremely satisfied with the game. There were a few off things, like how bullets seem to pass right through some enemies. There aren't enough guns. The main story is too short. There weren't enough side quests. Give us moar.
Loving the game. And as with HR I'm pretty much going totally non lethal sneaky my first play through. Which is odd since pretty much every time I went back and played the original DX I always sniped everyone, ha, but I was still sneaky. That's why the DX games were never FPSs IMO. I never go in guns a blazin.
