Square Enix might go from one of the least liked to most loved devs on the Appstore if they keep this up
I personally was hoping for the first one too. The second was good too, but the latest one I bought right at launch, but didn't even finish it. It start seeming so same-y and the exploration just didn't feel magical. I felt like every room had the hidden money or junk item, but nothing special to find. Nothing to get excited over. Anyways sorry to rant, I just hope that this one is more like the original, then trying to be all flash and graphics, like all the AAA games this gen. And spend more time on the gameplay and the puzzles.
Wwwoooww guys i m rarely that optimistic with ios games lately but after seeing the gameplay mechanics the graphics in the video and screenchots!!!! there s just no way this game is gonna fail!!!!
plus the last screen shot makes me believe that the game can be a bit world open like in human revolution
Least liked? Chaos Rings, FF, Drakerider, TWEWY,... SE is one of the few companies that take iOS seriously.
Disappointment: A bit let down cause it is not the original title using Unreal engine... Statement: Suddenly, I have the urge to check out whether there are port of Systems Shock 1, 2 and Thief 1, 2 on OSX... Commercial: Somebody ports the above titles to iOS, please. My money is ready.
Not saying the games brought across aren't great but often it feels like SE just see ios gamers as $ signs. With the update to Tactics, this and the recent statement saying they're refocusing on mobile gaming it feels like there might be a shift towards brand integrity on ios. We will see
They all exist in the same world but have different stories that follow similar themes. Obviously I have to recommend them as the original and Human Revolution are classics. However if not it would be a good idea to wiki the plots before jumping in so you can get any plot or character references that are included. Great Bladerunner vibe through out
I have to agree fully with this one. Having played the other games won't be essential to this one but reading the synopsis in any of the wiki's for the other games and the novel from which the game immediately follows will definitely help with immersion into the story and obviously help with investing into the game and its world as a whole. And as it the first in a series coming to iOS, the pay off will be well worth it. Of course the plot line of the game will stand on its own and it won't be essential to have an understanding of the other games to enjoy it but it will help with some of the in game references and probably with some of the rpg elements. Also, this one is set in 2027 (same time era as the second one and the book this follows) and the first game is set in 2052 so an understanding of it won't really be needed. It is a pretty cool story and universe overall anyway and well worth reading up on in its own right.
I like to see the love for gaming around here. In IGN in the news about this game the comments were all hate and hate about everything. It seems those people hate everything that comes on mobile and tablet platform.
The yellow tinge makes me think it will be tied to Human Revolution. If we could get the same soundtrack or anything from Michael McCann I'd be stoked. The title screen music to that game always got me pumped https://soundcloud.com/michaelmccannmusic/main-menu
