this sounds amazing, hopefully you wont have the combat system as suikoden, it wasn't that great but the war battles were amazing you should incororate that into your game
Yeah, i agree. The turn based was just so-so. But those big wars were pretty good. Kinda like a chess match ya know. Planning ahead as to what the other side would do. All you really needed was a big enough army and plan wisely and you would win. Great thing is if you lost, you wouldnt die and just went back to your castle to plan again for the same battle later on...(if i remember correctly)
so far I have a side view battle system that I scripted myself, that took a long time. Half of the game is just the fighting The other half is exploring and having You can explore: caves, coasts, Islands, deserts, Mazes, Castles, Cities, Towns, Villages, Forests, Lakes, Rivers you name it, and I bet this game has got it (just nothing too over the top )
I saw a crystal in one of the shots on youtube, you should be able to fuse them or sothing of that nature. For a simple but amazing battle system and with some of the best puzzles I have ever seen were from golden sun if you played it do you have classes and secret ultimate weapons and bosses and summons, if not that would be a great add
Your battle system sounds fine, the war battles were scripted things that progressed different parts of the story line and not the random battles the player encounters as you explore. And i LOVE exploring. Thats part of the fun.
