Appreciate the support! There simply isn't enough power to reach the top slope and the next slope down's angle is all wrong for resting the ball there so it rebounds into the water time after time.
Still not cracked this hole. Now had 890 attempts. (I'm nothing if not persistent!) I know I should probably call it a day and start again but I can't make myself do it. If I knew definitively that it's impossible I would do, but I'm clinging onto the hope that there's a solution.
If you're on the Twitter, ask the developer (@manbearcar) or one of the masters (@loaphn, I think) for tips or confirmation that it's impossible. Best luck! #DG4Life
Well, now I can say it: "5 stars". It made me return also on Super Stickman Golf. Amazing experiences both.
Searching for games like DG, I suggest you to try this: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=280865&highlight=tankfinity If you have any others, please tell me.
This is frustrating. I was all set to post on here when I got to Hole 12345 and consider retiring from Desert Golfing for the time being. Then the above happened. Not sure if it's impossible or not, but I need to take a break from trying. Any tips? #DG4Life?
Yeah, I've tried that a bunch of times, but the bounce never quite clears the gap. I still think that might work. Or landing the ball in the cup after laying up on the first slope and hoping it doesn't bounce out and off-screen or back into the water. I'll be back at it again soon. Thanks for the reply. EDIT: The bounce method finally worked. Huge relief.
I'm late to the party but man this is hooking me in. I'm only in the high 200s and it's incredible, the journey I still have ahead of me....
After attempting the futile, the attached happened. I see there is no if verticeAngle > 90 then friction = 0 line in the code
NNNOOOOOOOOO!! This might be the end for me. Pretty sure this hole is impossible/impassable. Still undecided whether to start over or wait until I get a new device. #DG4Life?
Wow - sticking with the good stuff. I keep going back to try and get under 2,000 for 1,000 holes and just can't do it. Well played though, Guise, well played indeed.
Thanks, slam! I forget what my score was for 1,000 holes--definitely over 2,000 but not by a ton. It's just a comfort to always have Desert Golfing on my device to go back to. I was inordinately alarmed when it looked like I wouldn't be able to progress.
