Does this mean you've abandoned the original platformer you were making, or is it the same thing?

...and is it gonna be out in time for Christmas?

Well if anyone payed attention to Apple, they already announced any games wanting a guaranteed approval by Christmas had to have their submissions in by November 24 (barring rejection of course).

That's a "probably not" then. No one listens to Apple :p

Well not in this case but there are devs that did listen and have submitted their Christmas themed updates by the November 24 deadline. It will be interesting to see if Apple can now come through on their "guarantee" of approval by December 25 or Apple will have pissed off even more devs in the community.

I definitely like him the best. Like froggy was saying, I feel like I've already seen the first santa before and this one looks very original, can you please let us know who the artists are? I don't see how it can do any harm, it's just giving credit where it is deserved.

Yes, I agree! Let us know who the artists are! The first santa looks very cool and actiony, but this one looks cute.

That santa was made by cuestaluis. No, this won't be out by Christmas. I'm thinking about either getting this done and submitting it next Christmas, or submitting it now and letting sales suffer.

That'd be a better market strategy, but a real bummer to all of those who worked for you just to see their art on the appstore. You should take vote from your staff, of course the answer will be get it out as soon as possible though.

Or you could attempt to make it a year round game.

'Santa is upset that he only has one holiday a year to really shine, so he gets greedy. He decides to take out all the other holidays on a vicious rampage. Watch out EASTER BUNNY- HE'S COMING FOR YOU!'

Halloween would be the endgame level, with some real badasses. He could start on Thanksgiving and work his way through the normal Calender year, skipping over Christmas because he already owns that.

    November- Thanksgiving
    January- New Years:
    February- Valentines Day
    March- St Paddys Day
    April- Easter
    July- 4th of july
    October- Halloween

I imagine St Paddys day could be fun whle slaughtering leprechauns by the hundreds. Valentines day could be cool as Santa avoids a barrage of cupids arrows.

    Great idea(s).
This might sell abit more than an pure x-mas game. Longer dev-time, but I think it would be worth it in the end (sales).

Cool, can we see some of his art? Btw, with that trigger happy christmas thing, it sounds very familiar. Your game won't make any money with that already out though.

Yeah, you're right Yffum. Met Pocket Devil yet? ;) They have known about us for weeks. We have even talked to each other about our games. it's fine. If we make a good game, it won't matter. The dev of that game even gave me a code for that game. I'll return the favor later.
