I'm curious to know what kind of demos you guys prefer. Do you like timed demos or first level kind or does it not matter. I personally like timed though because you can often play mote than the first level. I think demos are shaping in popularity because of how cheap many people are and the whole try before you buy thing. Anyway, so there's a poll!!!! That's a plus(+). hehe, happy voting!

Free roam, un-timed. Rare, but awesome. I don't rush through my games and I don't rush my demos either. One of the best demo examples is Lego Star Wars on 360. A lengthy level, unlockable content, bonus mode, character creation AND co-op multiplayer all in the demo.
I'd say timed, but only if there's a clear indication that it's a timed demo, and generally a countdown timer is good too. I hate it when I'm leisurely playing thru a demo only to find at the end that it's timed, and then wish I'd played faster. So I guess waffles is the best option.
